Cadbury Dairy Milk #GaaneMishtiUtsabeRasabanga brings to you the sweetness of Bengal in its many celebrations.
One of the significant festivals of the Koch-Rajbongshi people, Hudum Utsab remains to be lesser-known to this day. Celebrated to put an end to prolonged drought and bring rain - this festival has a rustic aura of its own!
Just like the festival, folk songs of this community are lesser-heard. ‘Hudum Deo’ soaks the soul with its fresh notes. While only a handful of families have kept this tradition and genre alive, Lakkhi Di - a seasoned singer from the fraternity, brings to us the plight of people and their plea to the rain God through her iconic voice. In contrast, Ishan Mitra's original verses romanticize the pouring rain and the many emotions evoked by it.
With its purity and simplicity and the waves of contemporary and authentic blend- this song is sure to melt hearts - visually & musically!
