He accepted who he was when nobody else did. He didn’t “do that to himself” his family is the blame. Do you ever remember him saying he wished he was born evil, a siphonor, a witch, being born into a family of supernatural? Because I didn’t. And what people don’t even think to notice. It’s all “ohh he kills” “ohh he’s a sociopath”. And I guess vampires just get off the hook right? Also if he doesn’t deserve redemption, tell me why Damon, Stefan, Elena, Bonnie, Caroline, Klaus, etc ALL got redemption when not one single person in tvd has never done something bad. Kai was severely misunderstood by a lot of people, including you.

Paul Nguyen i think he obviously did have feelings before as he had a soft spot for bonnie but he just didn’t know how to show it so when he merged with luke it all of a sudden helped him show his love towards bonnie and he wanted to do good in this world but he was so mistreated he can’t look past that which is what ultimately turned him into a sociopath in the first place

Damon killed jeremy twice, hurt bonnie a lot physically and emotionally, he hurt elena, he went on killing sprees when he was rejected, and when he said he killed a pregnant woman bonnie was mad at him for like 2 seconds. But Kai was imprisoned for years all alone and like he said kept trying to commit suicide but it never worked, he was bad then he met bonnie and he was happy until she found out he killed his family and betrayed him. He did bad things to her but he proved himself worthy of another chance many times yet bonnie didnt seem to care. I forgive damon for literally everything he did including killing lexi which was rlly painful to watch, but its hard seeing bonnie being so unfair to kai. Damon literally killed more people than Kai ever did.

Damon killed a pregnant woman when his humanity was off. If we are not taking that as an excuse don't let me start on Stefan. Bonnie didn't forgive Damon because he had a character development in a single day. His character developed throughout the show. And he was feeling guilt and sad for everything he ever did. Kai on the other hand was a sociopath. He killed his entire family including his little brothers and sisters. And he didn't feel guilty about that. He only felt bad about anything he did after he merged with Luke. Because of Luke's influence. Who will believe that he had a change in character in a single night

I think if Kai lived longer and was in the show for longer, Bonnie would have learned to love Kai and look past his bad doings like she did with Damon. Let's not forget how much Bonnie hated Damon in the early seasons. If it wasn't for Elena, she would have probably killed him. While in season 7, Bonnie is literally willing to die for Damon. If Kai hadn't died so early on, I personally believe they could have developed a friendship as great as her and Damon's, possibly even a romantic relationship

They did a lot of problematic shit, and yes Kai may have had a sad backstory but plenty of characters in TVD did and they never resorted to killing their own siblings. Also, Kai killed Jo and her unborn baby later on, so it's not like he learned anything from his past actions or wanted to be better a better person. Yea lots of characters in TVD are flawed but I think Kai's flaws are way too grave to ever look past or be forgiven.

I love Kai and he is one of my fav characters, but I find it really weird how TVD fans try and excuse his behavior. Killing Jo and her baby was a pretty big unreasonable act tho, it wasn't like a minor incident, he attempted to commit a double homicide. Bonnie had every right not to forgive Kai, he stole her magic, stabbed her, left her for dead, and was the sole reason why she got left behind in the prison world and attempted suicide. Nah Klaus is also problematic af and I am not excusing his behavior either.

Wait I don't get it....Why didn't they just sent the Teddy bear back in the Prison world to Bonnie. She would've eventually saw it and then no suicide, no existential crisis. Im gonna get so much hate for this but liv is one of , if not the dumbest and most selfish character in TVD. If Live hadn't been complaining about the merge kai wouldn't have been the leader in the first place. She tells Jo that she was running away from her duty, then convinced Jo that she could beat kai even though kai has better magic feats and on top of that he is a siphoner; his ability would have overwhelm Jo and killed her. Then tries to kill Kai out of spite due to the fact that he won the merge, even though killing Kai would mean killing herself and the rest of the coven. If she had just accepted the fact they had to merge Luke would have been leader, kai would have been dead and the gemini coven wouldn't be near extinction. You can hate me for saying this but it's all her fault.
