Very nice hotel! Wish the Vietnamese would quit describing things like banh xeo as a pancake as pancakes are not flat. I'd call it a Vietnamese sizzling crepe. If you ever see them bring out rice paper and such, it means it's meant to be wrapped. Layer the lettuce/mustard greens on first if they are large (tear them to fit your rice paper), then layer on the other veggies and herbs followed by the banh xeo (or protein, if it's a similar type of dish), wrap tightly then dip in the sauce before eating. Bon appetit!

Yeah the Melia Vinpearl Hue was really nice - we’ve stayed at a few Melia Vinpearl hotels in Vietnam and they’ve all been fabulous! Thanks so much for the tips - we’ll definitely have to give that a go! 😊

Hi DoodahGurl thanks for the info,I wish I had known how to do the wrap , most of the contents of my effort fell out of the bottom when I tried to eat it. .Gary

@@garysanderson6986 I used to have the same problem when eating things like banh xeo or even fried spring rolls (Vietnamese eat them wrapped in herbs, veggies, and noodles, not as a singular snack or side like in the West)...until I started using rice paper to wrap it all in. If you have a tight wrap, it helps keep it all in. Worse comes to worse, just cut everything into smaller pieces and toss it in a bowl and douse it with flavored fish sauce (works better for the fried spring rolls than banh xeo, but still). :)

Yes the shower was in the bathroom and the bath was separate. Have an amazing time in Vietnam!
