That video helped a lot. I would create an icon with the curve (can be exaggerated) next to each name in the menu. That way the names are less ambiguous and any new functions are more easily identified in what they do.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm doing for the next release

Thank you for explaining these. As a photographer, these options really confused me.

Thanks for this - the graph visuals really helped clarify what's going on (kind of like paying attention to image histograms). In thinking about the vertical axis of the graph, I'm wondering if changing the max hight of the print would do anything in terms of giving you more steps to work with and reduce the "posterization" effect. I know from your last video that having that "extra" high TD white in the mix helps [new roll on order] but does the overall thickness also play into things?

This is exactly the right way to be thinking. However, you have to balance the depth vs the filament properties (and print time). There are absolutely times where the correct option is to reduce or increase the blending mesh (Max Depth - Min Depth) height to get a better effect. But you generally start needing higher TD filaments when you start increasing the mesh depth significantly. Sometimes though, it helps get a clean transition that would otherwise be impossible with the filaments you currently own.

wie soll man das so genau drucken können , wenn ich die farben vom filament nicht besitze? es gibt ja nicht jede einzelne farbe bis ins detail , würde gerne es besser können ?

You can't make every color. But you can make a lot more colors than you have by blending them. I think people get too caught up in trying to make a perfect copy when making your own version is more satisfying and enjoyable.

Would it make sense to add an inverse version of the bright/dark setting, which would boost blending of both Shadows and Highlights, at the cost of crushing middle tones (gray)?

You mean Midtone Suppress?

@@hueforging Yes. I wasn't at the computer I have Hueforge on when I was watching the videos, so I didn't see it had already been added in a later update. Thanks!

Can the shape be anything other than rectangle?
@hueforging Жыл бұрын
Yes. HueForge respects image transparency information. So if you import a PNG that has transparent regions, it will set the transparent regions to 0 height (they will show up in the slicer, but when you slice, they will go away). It isn't a smooth outline though, it is a grid outline though in practice the grid is small enough to really not be visible.

honestly the naming is counter intuitive to me how about this: bright enhance --> shadow boost/clarity/detail dim--> "highlight clarity"

You are correct, I just haven't gotten around to changing them
