Attempting to kill another witness for a ongoing murder trial... lmao And the guy survived and than told on him. He also ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life... Word! people are so watered down that they don't even realize Huey was killed in only 1989, at the Height of the Crack epidemic, he was on the front lines of the fight. that Plague our communities til this day, that goes to show how far ahead of the curve he was. he was definitely killed by those in government that were racist.

This great man was ruined by wrongful imprisonment. But the ppl stood by him & he saw some sort of freedom again. I pray for the day when they stop stealing days & yrs from us.

Seems like a nice guy, that's not a killer you can see it. I've seen some mean people, this guy looks like someone who likes to read. He looks like someone who would take a drunk girl home and tuck her in. There are some mean black people, he was not one of them.

Why are people like Huey Newton and Fredrick Hampton not talked about more often? The BPP was super influential during the Civil Rights movement, and I dunno if it’s just where I’m at (a middle southern state) but it seems we kinda just glossed over it, even when it came down to talking bout MLK. I think it’s super interesting, and relevant to everything that’s going on rn, but instead they decided to teach me bout 16th century French War tactics 😞
