Well said, now how do you explain Biden's expected appointment of avowed black supremacist, anti-semite, Kirsten Clarke? You don't unless by owning that hate and racial division are employed by the democratic party as part of a vote harvesting platform. "We're gonna fight racism with Solidarity." would see Fred Hampton cancelled by this party of today.

@@jakep7151 That’s not socialism/communism. What you’re explaining is what the bourgeoisie(capitalist class) and liberals(supporters of capitalism) say socialism/communism is to attempt to discredit it because it is a direct threat to capitalism. Communism is a global stateless classless moneyless society that is the end goal. Socialism is the process towards communism. Socialism isn’t “Everyone splits their money equally.” Socialism is a dictatorship of the proletariat(working class). It means the proletariat democratically decide how much they are worth, instead of the bourgeoisie who is only concerned about profit for themself.

He was so great, not only because of his sacrifice, but in his practical application. He was a pragmatist, and moreover, he truly believed in justice. Therefore, he could cross racial lines to build coalitions. Unlike many of those of today, he was less interested in "playing woke" or wanting to hear himself talk, he was dedicated to "putting the work in". He, any many of those at that time were far more than "armchair revolutionaries".

For someone writing for Jacobin, which recently released an article trying to make people think like Kautsky, saying he was right, to talk about an actual revolutionary hero like Fred Hampton just seems insane to me. I know Sunkara didn't write the article, but Kautsky was like, THE social chauvinist. THE twister of Marx and Engels. I can't take someone from Jacobin seriously. Liberals and social chauvinists. Not revolutionaries. And Sunkara's support for liberalism and the social chauvinism of the American left-leaning liberals is just ridicululous. Not to mention the fact that Fred Hampton was a TANKIE - who taught Marx, Lenin, Mao, etc to his party. Read Marx. Read Lenin. Don't listen to social chauvinists using revolutionary rhetoric, which they often try to do. We need an actual socialism - not more liberalism. To quote Fred Hampton, we don't fight capitalism with no black capitalism. We fight it with socialism.

@@sharkyjeff DEFINITELY read Lenin. Lenin updates the science of Marxism for the era of imperialism. (Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism) The State and Revolution is basically Lenin reminding people what Marxism actually is. We should be reading all of this stuff if we're serious about building socialism. Even if we think we'll disagree with it. Read Stalin's "Dialectical and Historical Materialism".
