Daming agianst sa nuclear dito iwan ko kung napag.aralan ba talaga nila or pinapakinggan ba nila maigi yung mga discussion tulad nito o puro propaganda lng pinapanoof nila against nuclear power.

SMRs have been used for years in military vessels. Submarines and aircraft carriers for example

BS... The Philippines has the potential for an abundance of safe cheap, decentralized solar energy + battery storage. Would be incredibly stupid to invest in unsafe, expensive and centralized nuclear energy instead.

i disagree with you because nuclear energy is a much cleaner and safer alternative to pretty much everything.

You know that the batteries that solar and wind energy uses are toxic and non-recyclable, right? There's a reason why studies and research confirms that nuclear energy is the most environmental friendly and cost efficient energy available.

lol solar energy barely produce anything.

Batties used by solar and wind are toxic and non-recycleable. That's why Nuclear is still considered more environmentally friendly than solar and wind.

Just my serious concern, what will be the reliable safeguards if a nuclear power plant is put to operate in an unpredictable geographic situations of active seismic & volcanic events like the Philippines's location in the ring of fire & earthquake belt of the West Asia Pacific region? I fear a 2011 Fukushima nuclear meltdown disaster will happen in our already struggling nation to make the so-called progress truly trickle down to majority of the Filipino masses?!🤔☹️😔

@@mikekel3715W/ due respect to your reply, I just watched it & the resource person explained the possible option for nuclear energy for a big/smaller power plant suitable to the location in an archipelagic country like the Philippines. I've read too of the nuclear wastes storage under ground in Finland aside from US but there'll be risks in the subterranean composition for nuclear wastes leakage as bad as seepage to water table in the country since landmass is of a volcanic origin therefore there're crevices/fault lines in all islands that can trigger the tectonic movements during an earthquake/volcanic eruption!😱My unsolicited suggestion is why don't we capitalize for a natural renewable energies like solar, tidal, geothermal, biogas & wind powers that our country has abundant resources by its geographic location in tropical humid climate supported by a volcanically conducive site? I'll pray & hope we rather focus on these God-provided energies if we're concerned for suitable & sustainable power sources for a stable supply to operate the economic needs of the nation w/ low negative environmental impacts🙏🤞

@@timawa22Sorry, I'm not a gen z but a boomer who have read a 1986 Chernobyl nuclear meltdown in the Soviet Union, (before & now Ukraine), 1970's Three Mile Island in US & 2011 Fukushima,Japan nuclear plant disaster & even 1 UP professor I've heard was also exposed to radiation there during research. Our country is God blessed w/ abundant as well as affordable natural renewable resources to supply the Philippines' energy needs & it's high time now for the DENR, DOST, NAST, PAEC, universities & also industries to invest in R&D by our scientists, technologists & engineers for stable, suitable & sustainable electrical power in the future, ok. We just agree to disagree on this issue, ok, thanks🤞😉

NO to Nuclear power. GEOTHERMAL POWER is the best , cheapest , safe and abundant source of power generation for the country. Again let us go for GEOTHERMAL POWER generation....
