The Rillito coal train is the only coal train that normally operates over Beaumont Hill. It often comes through about once a month.

you can see at 5:13 as the UP engines pass under trees, the massive heat uplift of the 12 cylinder engines breathing out hot air ,like a giant fire breathing dragon.

I didn’t know that Fisherman’s Retreat was that large now. Last time I was there in 1978 it had one or two ponds with a picnic area.

@@bradleyjanes2949Thanks! I've seen another coal train come down Cajon and go West towards long Beach, presumably for export.

will another one of these coal trains come through again soon?

Not sure on that one. From what I've read, they only run once a month or so when needed..

Let me say up front, I'm for using the vast amounts of coal reserves in the US. What is shocking about the beautiful coal train is the People's Republik of Kalifornia allowed coal to be moved through.
@RRTrainVideosАй бұрын
I believe they use a spray that keeps the coal dust down, there, Bill.
