Hey all, I'm very new at this whole R/C world. Just started looking at stuff this week. I'm very happy I came upon your page here, Greg. Just a couple questions to start, if you don't mind. So, what would be your best advice for someone seeking a nice entry level hobby level rc car? I'm really liking the crawlers, especially the new Traxxas Bronco, I just love hiking the trails near my home town and crawlers seem kind of up my alley. Although, how could anyone not desire something fast? So of course the bashers are an attractive option, too. What I don't know is, does anyone think that a Senton or Hoss would be overkill for me to start with? Thanks

I think for the $$$ the Arrma Kraton 8S BLX 1/5th-Scale you reviewed, appeared to perform better all around, more stable in the turns, and in the air, landings were better...Just my opinion, and its cheaper. I think I prefer 1/10 scale overall too, just more affordable for a weekend warrior like me to be able to keep it running and have backup parts and batteries on hand, extra wheels and tires, etc..

Hello, I just had a DBXL-E 2.0 delivered on 1-27-20. My buggy arrived looking ok, but on power-up the pinion and spur gears are grinding like a cement mixer. On the bench it goes. I found a bent front drive shaft. It shows .030 thousands bend on the dial indicator. That means .015 bend. Looking further the 4mm metal plate has a .080 thousands upward bow in it. No idea how this can happen being shipped. Can you put a straight edge on yours and see if yours may be bowed. Im getting ready to straighten things up. Contact for repairs has started, but im in wait mode. I took video of the work checking the buggy.

There’s always a possibility like with any lithium battery, even in everyday household electric powered items in your home. I really like the look of this thing and I would probably buy it but I recently purchased my first Losi, the super rock rey. I have had nothing but problems out of that thing, It's been on my work bench more often than any other rc I have. All the problems related to the crap steering system. After the first day of running it the servo saver broke, so I fixed that with the aluminum upgrade and it made it about half way through the next battery and then the actual servo crapped out. I wish I could return it. I dunno what it would take for me to buy another Losi product. My next purchase is gonna be the new Arma kraton 8s I think.

I have this and here is my personal experience with it. 1) The stock spektrum servo is junk. Broke within the first 10 minutes of 2nd set of batteries. 2) While I love the wing on the back, it's pretty ridgid and didn't last long. 3) Watch out for trees that move into the path of travel, it breaks stuff. 4) Keep the punch level at 4, the motor stays cooler longer. 5) Avc is at 100%, keeps it straight at full throttle. 6) Don't hit yourself with it, it freaking hurts. 7)Find the most open space to run this thing because it is heavy and takes a lot longer to stop. If you need to stop quickly from full speed, forget it, ain't happening. 8) Use 100c rated batteries, that is the recommended rating. 9) Start buying extra parts, you'll need them. 10) Upgrade from the stock transmitter, it's two channel and the receiver is 6 channels. Other than those things, it's a damn fun rc 1/5 scale.
