Arch is the 3rd string because they saved his redshirt. We saw Murphy play and we got to see Manning play, it’s obvious who is definitely the future of the team. You saw the development that arch needs like the snap handling and controlling his passes vs throwing bullets all the time, but outside of that he definitely looked like he could start for most teams

@@Jayshipley701 My main objection when people talk about the Manning "family" is that they talk about Arch like he is puppet and does whatever he is told. Yes, his grandpa gives him a lot of advice (as I am sure his uncles do also), and yes even though his grandpa likes to take credit for being in control, Arch makes his own decisions in the end. His grandpa strikes me as an old fart who wants be be seen as in control of everything because he has nothing else to do. Yes, it has been said that Arch will not accept NIL money for himself before he starts playing on a regular basis, but the "not allowed to" stuff from his psychopath grandpa is a little too much for me, since Arch is now an adult and can do what he wants to. Arch did sign an NIL deal earlier this year, and "initially" the proceeds are going to charity. Personally, I think one of the big reason Arch chose UT is the quality of the school and his preference to live in Austin, and not a small town like Oxford MS. I guess that his grandpa is paying him to not take NIL money for himself until he starts playing on a regular basis, but Arch's father is not anywhere as rich as his two uncle's or grandpa (although Arch's family does live comfortably).

Would Malik leave for a starting job somewhere else if he was going to get less NIL money? Also, there is never any guarantee that he would get a the starting job if he transferred. They are not going to promise that without going through spring practice.

So.....Ewers sticks around....Arch has another year of seasoning....win or lose ...IMO....Arch Manning is the starting QB for Texas in CY 2025..... Malik needs to bail while he has some time left to build a legacy somewhere else....he won't do it at Texas....

In regard to Texas and Arch Manning - it is a shame people pass by Maalik Murphy as an option to leave. Who is to say Murphy doesn't hit the portal and Arch moves up the depth chart?
@jbm08667 ай бұрын
Thats the most likely scenario, but personally I would be happy if he stays and battles Arch for the #2 spot. In spite of some poor decison making on a few throws that resulted in picks, he also had some fantastic throws...and there is no doubt he can make all the throws, some at least 10 yards further than many college QB's.
@Donny_DeVito7 ай бұрын
@@jbm0866 agreed. As much as I think both Manning and Murphy are talented in their own rights, it’s really unfair that media and the populace as a whole only gravitate towards what Arch is doing when that is the last thing he and his family want. He wants to earn it just like everyone else and that is so respectful and mature, time for media and the fans to follow suit and respect the hustle for ALL the players, not just one with a famous lineage.

Arch is set up to keep Texas in contention. Y'all need to stop smokin' that K2!! 😂🤘🏼

The issue is not that Ewers is not ready for the NFL. The issue is that there are so many good QBs in that draft class. Caleb Williams will be the top pick. Then you have Maye-Daniels-Sanders-Nix-Penix. That means Ewers will be at best the 4th QB taken even if he interviews well and works out well. It is because of this that Jalen Milroe will likely stay another year at Bama. FYI Ewers was the top Qb in the 2021 class.

The issue is that Ewers is getting mega-buck NIL money to stay, so that tips the scales a bit.

Jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins. Get over it. Arch would never attend a northern university, regardless of anything else. He is from a small town in Louisiana.

Why isn’t Maalik Murphy in the portal that’s the real question
@jbm08667 ай бұрын
From what I've heard Maalik likes being at Texas and believes in Sark. Of course he may reach a point where if he wants to continue his football career he will need to move on, but he hasnt shown signs of wanting to do that so far.

A lot of players look good after playing with the same guys for 4 years, the senior bowl allows a player to show his ability to adapt.

No decent players go to the senior bowl anymore for two reason: 1. The good ones skip their senior year and go pro, 2. They don't want to risk getting hurt before they are drafted.

@@Mark-rw3kw It doesn't matter it's a moot point, people still want to see it and it does add value to players that didn't get to play as much during the regular season! As a Texas fan I don’t appreciate you continually dropping the fact that Arch is a 3rd string then saying you love it. Sounds like a back handed compliment. He was a red shirt didn’t matter if he was 3rd string he wasn’t playing. You got a powerful influence let’s not scare Arch off from Austin.

i dont get this theory of if washington and georgia play georgia would win. washington has had some bad games, but georgia has had a lot as well. washington has so much offensive talent, and i dont think georgia is stopping them. i would pick washington over georgia 34-28
