you can dye your nursing washed with red dress into more pink color - test it, you've got nothing to loose there

I think that is such a good idea as well! It would be lovely in a pink that evens it out I believe.

Hoi Lucy, I have the H&M strawberry nursing dress in a size S. Since I didn't like the skirt of the dress, I wore a different skirt over it. I've only worn it twice, because the scalloped edge is itchy. I feel guilty about not wearing it more, so if you want I could send it to you from Rotterdam. That way it might get some more love than I have given it. Otherwise it will end up in a Leger des Heils box :(. Let me know!

Can I just say, your body positivity is absolutely beautiful. I know how hard it is to watch your body change shape, and you were never once negative or hard on yourself in this video. I felt incredibly uplifted after watching and have left with some new and more positive ways to talk to/about myself. Proud of you Mama! You are doing amazing! ❤

Yeah, I definitely agree with you on slowly wanting to get rid of the mostly synthetic pieces in my wardrobe, for me they make my sweat smellier. I was happy to say goodbye to summer, this year it was just too hot in Hungary. I'm also really excited to wear my autumn clothes, last year was the year that I started sewing on a sewing machine (I made a quilt-like pillow when I was a teenager but then lost interest in it, and mended my clothes with hand sewing) and I wasn't good or confident enough to tailor a blazer that was a little too big and long for me. But since then I had a lot of practice and a couple of weeks ago I actually did it, and did a pretty good job too, so now I can wear my pumpkin coloured blazer, just in time for pumpkin season.

Enjoy this season of life! You might find separates more useful than dresses at this stage. When I was finally done nursing my last child, I was really excited start wearing dresses again 😊 But it's just hard to find nice maternity/nursing dresses. Perhaps consider taking some of the dresses you decluttered and turn them into skirts?

It's such a pitty for the handmade clothes, but i salute getting rid of synthetics. I did that when I realized that my sweating problem solely comes from synthetics at around 25 and i mercilessly got rid of all of them - except some winter jackets (wind and water protection) and a handfull of sports bras (my ladies are too big and bouncy to work out without hardcore suport and i have yet to find a natural fibre high impact sports bra - or a pattern for one). I only started to sew/knit/crochet my clothes after that, cause my closet was empty AF. Now it's bi-annual decluttering solely because of size and wear&tear.

I've been dragging my feet about switching over my closet to my fall wardrobe -- but you are giving me inspiration to do it today! with a big cup of tea in hand, of course I got rid of most synthetic fabric items a few years ago -- I've had an issue with specifically polyester making me itchy since I was a little kid, so a lot of times I end up having to declutter clothes that are gifted to me by family because one touch gives me eczema

I love this! It is so realistic. When I was in the era of my life of pregnancy/ nursing... repeat, I had several sets of wardrobe all the time. Nursing friendly tops and dresses are gold! mostly I wore separates when nursing and dresses when pregnant . (Maternity pants were pretty bad at fitting my body; have they gotten any better?) Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Getting rid of things I have made myself feels so wrong in a way. I just had a big clear out of my clothes after putting it off for way too many years. I decided to get rid of a few handmade items and it felt like I was doing something illegal, but the fact is that I made some items in the beginning that didn’t work for me. It also felt oddly freeing and I dearly hope someone will get a lot of wear out of them ❤

I *believe* you can (at least more) safely hang knitwear by folding it in half, laying the hanger with the hook at the armpit of the sweater, and then folding the body/hem and sleeves over the arms of the hanger so they cross over right beneath the hook. I’ve always had more drawer/shelf space than hanging space, and it sounds like you’ve got space to fold yours too, but in case you need to hang some in the future!

I think for the red velvet dress, if you're making adjustments and don't want to make it more formal, you could add a cute embroidered peter pan collar and reduce the length? Not ideal for nursing but it would be so cute for autumn! Maybe even with an embroidered trim to the bottom as well? 🍂🍁

Don't get rid of your nursing dress! You can get color bleed out with hydrogen peroxide. I've done the same thing several times and have been able to save clothes by soaking then in 6% hydrogen peroxide for like 10 minutes.
