We took a trip to fish the beach with some big baits, in search of big fish! We used a variety of cut mackerel, ladyfish and Jack Crevalle in hopes of hooking a giant swimming near the surf. A geat day of land based shark fishing with some good people.

Omaze is a scam, only 5-15% of the money given is provided to the charities. Omaze is a for profit orgnization, they are in it to make money not to donate money.

could you invent a drone that puts bait far away while you pull near the beach. thats gotta be helpful for some beginners who doesnt need to be in the middle of sea just to catch a fish. basic person does want to fish but just near the beach if only bait can go far and even deep thats gotta be awesome.

Great video as always! Down here in South Africa, all we use is 13ft rods all the way up to 15ft on spinning gear to target some really big Sharks and Rays, perhaps check out some of the South African guys videos, long butt rods are used for land based spinning here...

I've been enjoying the "colder" winter this year but fishing has been really slow around me this time of year. I live on the treasure coast and the bite beach side and inlet has been kind of sluggish from what I've seen and heard in the shops near me.

About the long rods: it's possible to improve technique, I fished 55lb of drag (measured!!!!) On a 14foot rod (it's important to have a parabolic action, get some bend in it) but other than that I found that the castin' difference really isn't that much, even an 8 foot rod gets pretty good distance if it's made for castin'(GT and Tuna rods are great) and also conventionals cast just as well/far, only requires a bit more skill. I personally rarely go over 10 foot rods and if then it's rods that really flex, so under pressure the lever against you get's smaller

Idk if you were only talking about sharks when you said fish avoid the shallow water, but I’ve caught plenty of fluke and striper right at the beach lip in a foot of water. It’s almost always worth it to drag that lure to your toes.

Hey Vic. You have the drone... why not fly those baits out farther using the drone,? I made a video on how to release the line from the dronw using a downrigger release clip and this one when I catch a striped bass. Check it out - but make use of that drone to fly those big baits out.

I'm not trying to be the internet police here, I'm only asking because I fish in Florida and I just like to know what I'm allowed to do. Can I chunk out cut macks and or blues like that? I was under the impression that any fish that was regulated had to remain in whole condition. I do well with them whole but I'd rather get multiple pieces out of one.
