Richard, my name is Gary Keith, I'm a 72 year old 100% disabled Marine Corps Ground Combat Veteran from the Vietnam war. My father(Kenneth Keith) and grandfather(Charles Bledsoe Keith) were from Scottsboro Alabama and built dams all over the Southeast working for the TVA. I live up in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas now. I have no real hobbies and have bouts with PTSD and Depression. I do have a pond full of all kinds of the fish you catch in your videos. I've never paid any attention to that until I started watching your show. I am totally emersed in your videos and have learned so much from you. Like how to tie a Loop Knot and all about jigs and how to use them. I have invested some money into fishing tackle and my first outing I caught a nice crappie, but like yourself I put him back. Then I spent the next 30 minutes trying to get the fishing line through the tiny eyelet on another color jig head. Today I went out and caught 5 fish 4 crappie and 1 bass. Richard, you are right, "it's goo9d for me". Each day my problems and worries seem to disappear and I love the excitment I feel just wettin a line. Thank you ever so much you are doing a fine Service to the community and I thank you for that. My wife has Alzheimers and I find myself ruminating on that situation a lot. Fishing has changed my life and I hope I never stop. All thoughts of suicide have subsided. I think I'm gonna make it. Just wanted you to know you and you wonderful attitude, zaniness, and compassion are very appreciated. I love it when you let them go and only take what you need. Keep on trucking and I'll be looking for your next video. God Bless and keep you and Lisa who is an amazingly tolerant and generous woman. Please tell my story to ol Elmo so maybe he will get his arse off the couch and we can see him in your videos(wink). You are the best crazy man I've never met and I've met some real ringers. Take care and stay safe Richard. Semper Fi, Sargent William Gary Keith USMC 1965- 1971. Peace be with you.

Bless you Sir and prayers for your wife and yourself. I have a terrible time with depression and anxiety and panic disorder it’s terrible. Some daysI don’t even feel like getting out of the bed. But most days I want to go fishing and take my 8 year old little girl with me. Her name is Emma. She loves helping mommy let em go and put them back in the water. She fishes too but since she’s getting a little older she don’t seem as interested in it. But she will get back into it I know for sure. My husband works all the time and we go fishing when we can as Richard would say. But I’m usually either fishing by myself or with my daughter or my best friend Nancy. I LOVE FISHING!!! God Bless you for your service Sir!! Keep on fishin!!!! ❤️🎣

They are becoming fairly common now. The strain originated down in Florida I believe, but they are one of the primary ones that are used to stock many waters now. Just happened to be a more aggressive feeding variety of a regular gill.

I agree with you. I've been YouTubing for 12 years and I've found a lot of really good fishing channels but I've never come across one that resonates like this one. The way he describes everything he's doing is, in my opinion, absolute top notch. There are other channels out there where you don't even know what they're fishing with. This is the first and only channel I've ever turned on notifications for. Richard's demeanor and style take me back to how I fished growing up in East Tennessee. He could've easily been part of our little fishing group. He would've fit right in. I respect and like the man a lot. I think he's certainly shown he deserves it. Long story, short; his channel is impressive. Others thinking about a start posting videos about this or that should take note of how he pulls viewers into his fishing trip by making sure you know exactly what he's doing so you can follow right along and maybe learn a few things. :)

Love fishing cause Its good for me! Going out on the boat on my first fishing trip of 2019 bluegill fishing and crappie fishing March 6th and 7th here at Lake Fisher In Kannapolis N.C. Trying a small bullet weight and a small barrel leaving 3 1-2 ft. to a regular weightless hook using tiny bugs and tiny twist tails!! Do you think that this will work for catching bluegills? Havent tried this. I know I will be able to cast farther down the sides of the banks from the boat!
