The Lunar Chronicles is not about a plague 😂 That’s just one element in it. The series is about the dystopia on the moon and a group of 9 characters coming together to fight that. The first book is predictable since it really sticks to the Cinderella plot line AND a certain trope that’s everywhere in YA. It’s also … a simple introduction. AFTER that is where it gets interesting - especially with Cress and Winter. The story begins to go its own route so it isn’t predictable in the same way anymore. And Meyer does some cool things with the other fairytales (Red Riding Hood, Rapunzal, Snow-White) while rendering them sci-fi. Although Cinder remains the protagonist, we get huge focus on those characters with their books. The couples are memorable and to sum up the found-family they form in one word is to call them “fun”~ Not trying to convince you to read it. Just clarifying 😂 Personally, I would have ditched the series after book 1 if my classmate hadn’t been shoving each book at me over four consecutive weekends. And I’ll forever be grateful that she did. A lot of the fans find the first book “okay”. It’s what the story and cast builds up to be that makes The Lunar Chronicles Meyer’s most beloved series to this day.

Better Than The Movies, and I regretted it right away. I originally rated the book 3.75 stars and enjoyed it and yet, for some reason, I decided I was going to unhaul it since I didn't have enough room on my shelves. Since I want to reread it, I'm planning to ask for it along with the sequel for Christmas this year.

I can't belive you are unhauling books from the shatter me series, actually I think you should read the rest of the books, (at least in Kindle) they are quite different from the firsts because they are more fantasy centred but they are AMAZING

I loved Cinder so much when I first read it (which was somehow a decade ago?!), but I really didn't enjoy the rest of the series anywhere near as much. This is an unpopular opinion, though, most people seem to prefer Scarlet and/or Cress. I think if, like me, the characters and romance were your favourite part, don't continue, as the series becomes an ensemble cast and focuses far more on the lunar plot.

The most controversial books I’ve ever unhauled are either *Harry Potter* or *The Lord of the Rings* . I couldn’t get into them 😭 And mind you, I’m one of those people who’s loved rewatching LOTR multiple times a year since she was a child.

The most controversial books I’ve ever unhauled is six of crows and crooked kingdom. The first book was fine, but I got 100 pages into crooked kingdom and realized that I didn’t care. I know. Im sorry I wish I liked it more but I like Leigh Bardugo’s other books more!!!

It took me four tries to start reading six of crows, and when i did i binged the duology and really liked them. I also tried to read ninth house and dnfed. Bardugo is just not the author for me

Probably the most controversial thing I unhauled was city of bones. I read it last year and did not like it at all. I think it’s because I read it as an adult and the target audience is more young teens.

It’s just so ewwww😫 So yeah I’m not gonna read stalking Jack the Ripper even though I love Kerri Maniscalco’s writing🥲 I also really understand why you don’t want to continue shatter me, I got restore me for Christmas and haven’t read it yet because it just doesn’t feel the same😬 Btw what’s your favourite Jane Austen novel?
