Great stream. But I don't like the abrupt interruption host does. The host broke the flow when the former CAF was giving non-stop information. There is time to speak and ask a question but not with force. Why the rush? And for sure the host has great personality, presentation skills and interaction (rest of the video).

Privatize HAL and increase the salaries of the engineers ... The organisation will excel .... Spend more on R&D and set up world class offices for the staff to work efficiently ... Even today the government run organisations have very shabby offices and employees get paid very low. Time for that shift in mindset

@@user-nx7ke7ur4q Kabini is the core (gas-generator) of GTRE Kaveri engine. As a guide, for each kg of air mass flow, shaft power is about 250 hp. In the regard, Kaveri engine with an air mass flow of 77kg/sec, would be a humongous engine for Prachand 2 - if it comes to be !😂 I guess I meant something similar to Kaveri engine.😊

This is the first and only Indian flying machine that looks good and purpuseful. The IMRH looks like the older models of the MI17 i.e. it looks like a 1970s design. Indian designers need to think in terms of beauty in form and function - like the F14 Tomcat, F22, Su30/34/35, Rafale, Apache etc. As a new design, the IMRH should look more like the AW101 or the NH90 which are absolutely beautiful flying machines. As it is, the visual impression of the IMRH models is just rubbish.

Your Analogy is wrong. HAL (Defence Equipment Manufacturer) and the armed forces are two independent entities. They are obviously not the same. It is a big deal because the Indian Armed forces are picky customers who have lot of complex requirements. For a Indian manufacturer to satisfy their needs is a big win and vote of confidence on the product.

@@user-pf2de8pp4u Initial costs are always high. You have to make the production line itself first. Most of the parts and components need their own production line and dedicated supply chains too. You have to find domestic vendors. Or foster a domestic ecosystem through loans and incentives and such if they don't exist at all. Plus they have to do this all while juggling the prices of foreign parts which will fluctuate. While also doing R&D to replace these foreign parts with domestic ones. All the while trying to make some profits. Money for All of what I said above must come from this initial order. So that price is what any company will quote for the first batch order. The Channels take that full amount and divide it by number to get the supposed price of a single platform. Looking at it broadly this initial high cost and time is why most smaller nations opt to just buy foreign models. But for a country like ours who need the platforms in 100s thus makes much more sense. As we can use this newly created ecosystem for all future products. Prices will definitely go down for the next order. Look at the F-35 program for reference.

@@user-pf2de8pp4u Lets take the case of assembly of 100% foreign parts. Which is not at all what's happening here. Even then the costs lowered are plenty: 1) Lots of money saved in labour costs. Platforms like apache are made in the USA which has basic wages at 20 $/hr. 2) Can create a tailored system with systems that we need. And only what we need. Most of the systems in foreign platforms are useless to us but we pay for them nonetheless. But they lack key features that we do need like high altitude operability. 3) Cost cutting on servicing. We can service it ourselves. We can also do the upgrades ourselves. 4) we can integrate into it whatever armaments/avionics we desire. 5) Creation of a military industrial complex. Which will create jobs and other technological advancements.

@@mathewp3416 India is fiddling with one KAVERI engine for the last 15-20 years which to the best of my knowledge has not been integrated with any platform. Why? We have tendency to exaggerate our tiniest achievements while ignoring what China has achieved in theist 20 years or so. China has its Stealth fighter in the operation since many years. Where are we compare to China? We are manufacturing the shell of Apache by following the design provided by USA company. Do you call this achievement? I have noticed the projects of GOI walking at a snail's pace. USBR railways project was started before China started Tibet railways project almost 1200 Km in much difficult thermafrost terrain and they completed many years back with their innovative skills.
