I did my internship in HAL during my Final year of Engineering (2020). I was absolutely thrilled to see that how aircrafts are being designed and developed. And just for HAL I choose R&D instead of other things as a career option. Now I am a full time R&D Engineer in a respected MNC. All credit goes to HAL ❤❤❤

Explain in detail why you want to work with them, what are the fields in aeronautics you are passionate about. You can just email these details. And apart from that they release internship slots throughout the year. You just need to keep looking on their website. If your application is able to catch their eyesight they will reach out to you.

The marut wasn’t set up improperly because of the engines, the original ones that were supposed to be used were canceled when rolls Royce’s main customer, the British air force canceled their order, it was offered that india foot the very reasonable at the time cost of development for the engine but the government refused, if they had not, India would be fielding 5th gen fighters and maybe even 6th gen right now as the marut was truly an ultra modern innovative design, on par with the f5 tiger or the f14 tomcat if it was lighter, or even the mig 21 and 23

They are just a profit minded company which won't work for National interests. They wouldn't have interest in co development with the expertise and resources of HAL and DRDO ( they were offered by Govt.) But would be happy to just assemble the aircrafs offered by foreign companies. I am also extremely disappointed by adani and Mahindra. If this screwdrivergiri continues , then it will become aatma- hatya nirbhar bharat.

@@DARKNESS_buster Yeah, he donates a huge chunk of his profits to tata trust which is highly appreciated. But when we observe the performance of these companies in defence sector, they are quite lazy in investing money in R & D. It is very frustrating when these companies don't come to co - develop new technologies so that they get the experience. The govt. Is. trying very hard but these companies do not care. For eg - Tata offered f16s partnering with Lockheed Martin and Mahindra offered F15s and f/a18s to the airforce. Both of these companies comitted for the Co- development of AMCA using technologies from Lockheed Martin and Boeing. But when Govt. asked to come individually, no company answered their RFP. This shows their money minded approach.

Also the entire Indian helicopter portfolio after LUH was designed by a European helicopter company in partnership with HAL. Their design is not indigenous , it's European.

Who told you this? Don't spread fake facts. During the 1980s only, HAL took some initial consultation from Dassault systems. After the induction of ALH, every single aircraft was solely developed by HAL. If some company is doing a great work kindly don't defame it for your narrative building. There are many aerospace engineers I know who are working for salary which is 15 times lesser than he would be having in an European aerospace firm. No other company is building aircrafts in India except HAL. I hope you and the 10 people comprehend it.

@@SarveshRavivarman I am not talking about the 80s, there was another partnership . It was German Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm that was consulted to design Indian Helicopters. Every single Helicopter after that partnership is distinctivly european in design. It's not the first time. Hell India has even copied things like the 2K12 Kub SAM and rebranded it as Aakash SAM. Ask anyone who knows about defense equipment and they will tell you nearly all indian Helicopters look like European Helicopter. That's due to MBB being contracted to design.

The main problem HAL faces is its low pace and funds.... which can only be countered by more private investments and a major domestic rival to HAL.

I used to live next to HAL and my daily commute took me all along its border wall. All its buildings are in such a dilapidated state, they look like they should be condemned by municipality ... even our ancient ruins look better. And there is no security at all ... their border walls are crumbling, there is no electric fence (you can see it clearly broken at many places), there are overgrowing trees which anyone can climb and jump on the other side of the wall, hardly any lighting etc. Sure, there may be CCTVs ... which will be ineffective at night to see someone dressed in black.

AMCA started in 2010, and first delivery is expected in 2032??? by that time, china would have build 1000 more 5th generation fighter jets. Where is TEDBF? where is Tejas Mk2? what a joke HAL is, what a joke DRDO is. utter disgrace. 1. We need at least 6 aircraft carriers with 80000+ tonnage, with at least 12 TEDBF operational squads (2 on each carrier) which equals 240+ TEDBF aircrafts. 2. We need 1000+ attack drones, 1000+ attack helicopters, 500+ Tejas, 500+ tejas Mk2, 300+ AMCA HAL seems to be sleeping. the government seems to be sleeping w.r.t. national security.
