Hi Kenneth, The video which was the start of that day was this video..kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ6nZIRrgdtmpMk it was all about getting the clubface rotated hard coming into and 'at' impact.. and of course doing that with the palm grip with the hands just butted up to each other with no overlap gripping of the lead hand.. basically a more sophisticated baseball type grip.. I hit the ball great that day.. and always do whenever I apply the principles of those videos. cheers JH

Love your endless experimentation. And we all benefit from it. Going to try the palm grip. Moe said "Fingers are fast, palms are calm."

Moe showed it all to me personally.. I just never clicked onto the intrinsic value of the configuration at that time cheers JH

Great energy, moe made the point that you did not grip the bat or the tennis racket with the fingers, he said the palm. You are dead on with this video. I use a palm grip. If you watch your lead hand position it is stronger that you think, look at it...Thus the greater power. JH we love your enthusiasm? It si a key part of great teaching.

Its very early days with the new grip for me and I really need a couple of high amount of balls practice sessions to ingrain the new feeling of connection to the club grip...I know I am onto something of significance with this grip configuration .. It's always easy to get enthused/ excited if you are experiencing performance factors that you have never had before .. I deliberately practice most times from uncut unmanicured grass areas because I know if the contact is good from less than good lies it will be 'really' good from normal ground conditions .. cheers JH

JH that looks like what you were doing several months ago when I said and you agreed that you were getting more club head speed. This is what I'm doing because of my bad front leg. The swing looks excellent. I will work on the release more with the roll over. Thank you again for going over the updates.

Hi Ray, Most of the videos going forward will be updates/revisions etc ... there will be some major changes if they present themselves as the palm grip has of late but generally, the videos will be about revision and refining the base principals of the CL swing mechanics.. cheers JH

Awesome JH. Love to see you so excited. I switched to the 8 finger grip when I got into CL and it works great for me. I have small hands and I also split the hands apart because my pinkie finger was getting crushed because, I suppose, all the speed that I started generating. Thanks for your continued development of CL atomic particles.

Hi Barry, How I am configuring the grip is very specific for me ... I will go into 'my' configuration more in detail in the next videos ... the 'perpendicularity' of the lead hand to the lead forearm is vital for me ... I have 'zero' angularity in the wrist hinge of the lead hand when I set the hand onto the grip .. it's a hard thing to explain in written text... I will show it in detail in the coming videos .. cheers JH

JH I’m a big believer in the hands in the game of golf I’ve been a baseball griper for a long time ...it just feels good Still trying to follow the stander placement in the hands of the shaft I think at impact my club face is a tad open that made me manipulate the club more then I wanted “ use the palms “ ... sounds good to me Thanks

I played with an 8 finger grip for a very long time. Then I took a lesson and following the instructor's advice to change it never been good since I think I'm going back to the 8 finger grip thanks JH.

I think correctly applied for an individuals hand makeup configuration the split grip 'Palm' placement of the club grip will be of significant benefit to a lot of players .. I have tried the split grip in the past but had it configured incorrectly and as a result it never worked for me at all with any great benefit.. now with the configuration I am now applying its a whole new world of ball striking difference.. cheers JH

I’ve been sitting here re-watching some of the older videos JH. I swear, there is some little something more I get out of them every time I re-watch. What’s better than Xerox? I’ve been thinking about that question for a couple minutes. Xerox was the thing 20 years ago, right? There MUST BE something better than Xerox in that amount of time? I think I came up with it JH. This is what they’d call you today, JH, back at the ol’ driving range where you used to teach. Copy and Paste! 😂

Hi Craig, 'Mr Xerox' would today be 'Mr Copy and Paste'... that would absolutely be representative of today's type terminology description .. I used to teach a well know movie director and he used to say.. 'That's a Print' whenever I hit a perfectly flighted shot... .. and he used to scream out at himself 'CUT' whenever he hit a bad shot ..or 'Action' just as he was about to hit a shot ...we actually did a Bobby Jones type movie lesson with him as the student with some of his movie gear and guys .. it was really well done.. the movie is somewhere but I can't find it because it went missing when I moved house up to where I live today .. I must try and find it .. its really worth seeing .. cheers JH

Hi jh. Colm my name . I am currently expermenting with stack and tilt swing and some of Gary Edwin right sided swing . No I am having success with both methods however it is difficult to get it right all the time and it is very hard on the back both methods and I am 29 years old . I'm just wondering about channel lock . Would u say it's easier than those and much simpler as I am willing to give your method some time and consideration as it looks simplistic and easy to replicate? Thanks

I mentioned that we don't see your ball flights i want more elevation on my shots what could i be doing and i love CL. the shots sound great. But leaves your audience wondering about how straight how high legitimate questions i hope

kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIm6onx8fsqdf9U There is plenty of Legitimacy' in this video .. and there are at least 30/40 other videos on my channel showing 'real' ball flight ..I never leave my 'audience' wondering ... To get more shot elevation you need to pull more with the lead hand/arm through impact and keep the headway back at impact ...the upper body must stay well back at impact and the lead shoulder must be high at impact and the trail shoulder very much 'under' the lead shoulder at impact .. cheers JH

Do you aim your club face at your target during set up? Played today, trying to use channel lock. Shot a 75🙂. Took me a few holes to figure out how to aim. Any tips?
@1atomicgolf
@1atomicgolf 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Patricia, Doesn't look like it took you very long to work the swing out .. 75.. is a great result for a 'tryout' of a swing .. The clubface 'always' points at the target... and always releases towards the target at impact .. we fire the club 'outwards/away' across the target line .. but we release the 'clubface' towards the target .. If the ball just goes to far right of the target ( right-handed player) then you are wanting ... the clubface is just to open at impact .. the ball will always go in the direction where the clubface is pointing at impact .. cheers JH

Hit the ball very consistently, as my playing partners were fat and thin shots. As I watched them, I thought this is going to be my forever swing. Thank you!

Hi JH. Great looking shots but at the slowest playback speed the left arms still very straight. But hey, why worry when you can hit them like that at your age!

Hi Ken, The lead arm 'bend' really requires a couple of sessions where I do absolutely nothing but concentrate on that aspect .. I am determined to get that bend going because I just hit the ball so much better when I do get some bend in the lead elbow ... the weather has been awful for 2 weeks and I just haven't been able to get any full practice sessions going.. cheers JH
