I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Gordon is such a great guy, very generous and a lovely soul. I’m glad you had such a great haul from the boot sales. I may not be a believer, but when I see the return you make on your investment it’s hard not to be. I’d still like to get FV. As soon as you said it was £12 I went to the CEX app, and may pull the trigger. It’s a pain that it costs a little more on my beloved PS4 :(. What a result with the Xbox Elite, that was my first 360 back in the day and like you say it’s a nice clean looking system. Mate don’t run yourself down you did well getting it running again. You’ll be giving Mrs Bear a run for her money lol. Apologies it was a long comment mate lol. Take it easy brother.

Chicken & Bacon crew!!!!! Completely agree about getting hooked on the CEX voucher price, I find myself doing the same on Vinted. If it's a game you want/need and it's lower than the CEX sell price it has to be a good deal. Especially if you can see what you're getting.

I definitely agree that we can let cex cash and voucher prices dictate what we value a game at, it's that flip mode 😂 Sometimes we don't see what Cex actually sell these games at, so I think Mario galaxy for £10 is a bargain when it's £18 in Cex Isn't charity shop hunting so much more enjoyable when staff are friendly and sociable even if you don't grab a bargain you still have a smile on your face Great vlog as always bro

The hustle at car boots is what stopped me going years ago. People asking sellers what they had for sale and following them as they drove their cars in before they even got near their spot to setup was the extreme I experienced. I was like - 'this is what it's come to, and it's not worth it'. God knows what it's like now with the current financial struggles.

I completely understand what you mean about asking car boot sellers about their stock as they're setting up. I used to wait until they at least have put them out, but where I go, there are some people that literally barge their way to the front and get all the best stuff and when they're there, you get absolutely nothing. I've started asking some sellers politely, and I refuse to barge my way through. Having said all that, I always do my last walk around looking for things people have missed and I do get stuff. My best score this way is a OG Xbox with 13 games for £30.

@Retro Ghetto Oh yeah. 😂. I remember going to a boot sale last year it's only a small one that has about 10 cars max. I was told by the lady in charge of the venue that it's not opening until 8.30 when everybody has had a chance to set up so I waited in my car. About 5 minutes later, a bloke came, opened the gate and walked in. At this point, because nobody questioned him going in, I thought he was helping somebody out. He wasn't. I walked in about a minute later, and when I got to the table, he bought an 8gb Wii U for £10 and a stack of game for £1 each. I was absolutely livid. I picked up 2 ps1 games off the table next though so it wasn't a complete loss. Still reeling though.

the thing with games in charity shops is really the only people looking for games in charity shops are resellers and collectors. if someone wants to buy a certain game they will go cex cos they know theres a very good chance it will be there and they can even look online to see if its in stock. whereas with charity shops you just have to hope that 1, the game you want will be there, 2 it will be a reasonable price and 3, it wont be scratched within an inch of its life

regardless of etiquette, cleaning stuff for a few mins before trading in graded items will almost always get you a better price. taking a filthy item will almost always get you a discounted grade or c grade.
