HUGE CHUB on the float - March 2024

With the end of the River season fast approaching I made use of any spare time to hit the River banks in search of some Chub using both trotting & ledger tactics.
It took some time to find the fish & a few miles of walking but my persistence paid off Big-time with A HUGE Chub!
This is a very Big Chub for this River & probably my biggest ever from this Small River it may have even been a 5lber? please let me know in the comments if you think it is a 5 plus....

Another excellent video. I really enjoy seeing you fishing in the county I live in because a lot of fishing videos take place on rivers that are a long way from me and that I'll probably never fish. Keep up the good work, mate !

Nice one Pete, cracking chub that. Hard to say the weight from here but it defo looks over 4lb. I bumped into Dave on the closing day, and he said you were down later. I had three chub further downstream with one weighed at 4lb 5oz. I then stupidly moved a couple of miles downstream and didn’t have another bite in three very good looking swims. Can’t complain though, and already missing the river 😢

Hi mate, that's a nice end to the season for you with 3 Chub 😀👍, I ended up on the Idle on the last day... had another beast of a Chub 😮, River was in flood in a few places so was a struggle really.... The Dearne has been decent for me this last year... No Barbel tho... but some good Chub, Bream n a couple of Brownies too😂, all the best mate, roll on June 16th 👍🎣

Well done Pete a good end to the season. I never went down last time was when I got the big ide. Was going to Dunham last week but it came over bank so never got off. Well have a session in new season been a bad winter campaign on the barbel. But did manage a few off the trent.

Yes pal. It 's been a wet old start to the year but at least that trib doesn't hold the water too long. Cracking Chevington. No speculation on weight from me. I'm no good at it, that's why I carry scales 😅

Yeah gutting. They were coming out on the day and I wish I could say they weren't biting but I had plenty of hookups just couldn't land any. I even changed my hooks a couple of times. Just bad angling I guess pal 😢😭

Cheers man, yeah she was a right lump for this River... yeah the Rainfall n flooding has been horrendous since October really... Still water in the surrounding fields from this Rivers last flood in February.... glad you got a few Grayling mate 👍, love Grayling fishing one of my favourite ways to fish... all the best mate 👍🎣

Hi mate, yeah I may be claiming a 5lber then 😂.. must take my scales more often... yeah the float proved to be its undoing, I had loads of knocks on the ledger on flake n cheesepaste but not a proper take, as soon as I tried the float, bang in under a minute 😮, can't beat the delicate presentation can u....😊, yeah i will be onto some Tench n Canal fishing next 2 months i think..., thanks for watching mate, n all tge best for the Trout season 👍

Always enjoy your videos but always the vocal sound quality and background wind noise is very poor and spoils what otherwise are good vids. Great chub though!
