For maximum rust protection, going epoxy would typically work better, I really dig the vids and am encouraged to take on my wagon when time permits. You guys are fun to watch.

Thanks Julio! I must say that we haven't spend a lot yet on this car, most of the 'value' is just purely the hours we put into it. So with enough devotion I would say this is definitely doable on a low budget like us.

@@BentAxles Ja dat is waar. Ik ben nu ook bezig aan een auto. Wij hebben altijd Volvo's gehad. Amazon en Combi. Nu werk ik aan een Daf 66 Coupe. Vandaag zeer groot stuk uit de bodem geslepen :D Straks lekker lassen. En ik kan wel ondersteboven lassen. En als je dieper in wilt branden kun je ook stekend lassen in plaats van slepend. Ook iets meer draad snelheid. Als de draad gaat stuiteren is het te snel :D Succes guys.

Make templates out of cardboard first much easier.. great work btw

Jullie moeten echt veel meer met handschoenen aan werken. Dit is vragen om nodeloze verwondingen. Mooie klus.

Thanks! We maken vaak de afweging geen handschoenen te dragen met snelle roterende gereedschappen omdat de handschoenen daardoor gegrepen kunnen worden, waar je met blote handen nog kan terugtrekken. Maar we hebben inderdaad vaker handschoenen aan tegenwoordig. Bedankt voor de tip!

How can that car get so much rust, in strategic places, if the car is undercoated,from the factory.
