I build a DIY retro gaming table for my living room out of an old white IKEA dining table and a TV that a friend threw out because the display had 2 stripes on it.
I connected the gaming table to a retropie (Raspberry Pi 3) to run all kinds of NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy advance games and more on it.
It can be used for D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) maps and also displays board Game fields.
The Screen in the gaming table is a 55 inch Philips TV with Ambilight 3 so it can connect to my Philips Hue lights and changes the light based on what’s shown on the TV.
Unfortunately it is not a touch screen but I might enable that at some point.
The dimensions of the DIY gaming table are 140cm wide, 90cm deep and 40cm high.
The cool thing about the multimedia table is that it can just turned off and act as a regular living room / couch table. On the first look it doesn't seem to contain a TV because the gaming table is designed so flat.
