I'm just waiting for the Zandalari Trolls to come out, but if I have to wait until March for 8.1.5 then hopefully 8.1 will have enough content to keep me playing. It's always an awkward time for expensions, huge hype for a month of two, then it's just going back to waiting in between new patches. Still hyped for exp reduction though, even with 5 alts 120, questing is still one of my favorite thing to do in game.

Northrend needs better mob scaling It's significantly harder to fight Northrend mobs than it is to fight Outland mobs. Some special event quests are nearly impossible to complete alone.

I believe once 8.1 is released once you unlock the flight points on your main they will be unlocked for alts. Same for Rep items that are locked behind rep grinds.

I would have preferred they make the leveling experience interesting, entertaining, and a bit more challenging. Heirlooms even removed gear as a form of progression when leveling; the few upgrades you get during the process don't seem to matter. This idea of people not being able to wait for "the real game" is a larger issue than the speed of leveling. I used to enjoy all of it... now it feels like a chore I can't wait to be done with so I can do something I actually want to.

They should totally rework leveling. Vanilla, TBC, Wrath, Cata should get voice-acted story quests that would take players through their main story, Panda and WoD should have main story line qusts labeled as such and they should reward enough XP to make other quests obsolete (optional though if player wants to do them). Legion should be as normal just with buffed XP, BfA shoudl be left as it is.

With these new changes freezing your toon's xp should be free, encouraged with some sort of perk and you should be able to do it on the fly. The perk should be something highly desirable to newer players but one that won't make older players feel like they are being cheated. (imo)

Leveling in Classic is actually very entertaining and feels like an adventure because there are so many interesting things to do and everything is challenging... Zones to explore, quests to do, dungeons to form, meeting and interacting with people along the way. It's far from perfect, but it's still better than retail. You know what is an boring endless grind? Equipping your character with full heirloom from level one, standing in Orgrimmar and spamming dungeons, non stop, till you get max level. Then spamming normals, heroics, looking for retards to gear up, then running mythics for hours to grind them to the ground. Yeah if you want endless mindless grind in which leveling doesn't matter because this is a Wait In Queue With Matchmaking Tool Symulator, then go play retail.

Well the answer is pretty obvious: now that all characters are a carbon copy of each other there is no point to leveling being a thorought process anymore. At least before you had different itemizations and talent choices and such, but now everything is easy, streamlined and your enhancement shaman is as unique as the next (zero), so why bother the long adventure to 120, there is no progression. Hell, at 100 your character evolution halts entirely.

Ah there is the catch up stuff I was waiting for it may be almost time for me to sub again. 5:30 it depends on if blizzard is allowing it to stack remember that blizz put in a cap of something like 50 52% Xp boost (I can’t remember the exact number just that you can hit that cap by wearing an almost full set of heirlooms and if you have the rings too it’s a waste as you don’t get their xp boost) so if this goes on top of the looms and been in a party it’s a little way towards making me happy, it’s no RAF system with its 400% boost but it’s a start.

Haven't fully leveled a character since MoP. The leveling experience is terrible. Not only does it take FOREVER, it's also not challenging or rewarding, there's barely any progression, and you don't feel like you're getting stronger

i agree on your last point but all the other points are just stupid. You will get reward in form of an achievement, loot. If you are not getting an achievement or not striving to get that achievement. you simply played/are playing the wrong game. If you want something challenging go out leveling without heirlooms makes your character 100% less stronger and harder to play. Me and 8 other friends just quitted wow because the consumption we are getting for the time we are playing is not rewarding at all. Personal Loot is bullocks and even if you dont need that 370 weapon because you have one slotted already and cant trade it to someone else because ones ilvl is simply lower than the person that wants to get it. Its just the mindnumbing-luck system that should be reproduced in State Nevada and nowhere elsei is just too big. Take out Personal Loot from the Game and change back to Party/Masterloot will bring more players back guaranteed. I am not mad when someone gets loot at all but i really get mad when i get loot i want to pass on my mate but the game system wont simply allow me. The moment i read in WoW Level 130 for the next Expansion Blizz killed themselves 9x old potential returning players. Statistics never lie.

I remember in Legion soloing those Legacy dungeons as a Arms warrior. Soloing Legacy shit as an alt has nearly become impossible. Everything you do every level you achieve will give you a reward in form of achievement, loot or even a skill. That is your progression table. Getting Loot getting that +1 Intellect/Strength whatever stat is the progression alone. But these process of progression everyone has been through so your point is stupid yes. Its interesting to me that in no other game leveling experience is so hard critized than in WoW. This is really good since leveling a alt from 1 or 20 takes alot of time to 120 and the problem will go up each xpac, reducing the xp requirements for lower levels (the boring ones since you redo alot of starting zones) is a good idea in the long run and i agree with the change.

@@hakainokame But across the full 120+ levels, the TOTAL xp needed will have gone up quite a bit. 50% of the new total will be different than 50% now, get my drift? Say it's 1bil xp needed now to get from 1 to cap. Next xpac, to get to the new cap it's going to take 1.5bil xp to get to max level...this is TOTAL experience needed. Adding another piece or two of the loom sets, say at 10% or even 5% each, will cut the TIME by a fairly large margin when the total time is added up. Granted, these "nerfs" are pretty big and take the place of maybe 3 pieces of loom gear. I'm talking maybe 2 xpacs down the line and then on.

They reduce the exp required to level-up but they'll probably also greatly reduce the exp gain from quests like what they did with the previous exp squish so it's not gonna be a big difference unless you're just killing mobs to level-up. If they don't change the exp gain from quest rewards then it's gonna be a too easy to level-up

I used to speed run wow leveling in late wrath and cata between raids and after the xp and heirloom nerfs I hated one of my favorite things to do in wow. Now hopefully I can get back some of my old records without having to spend a year hitting max. Now all I want is a spell and talent rework to make leveling less boring.

Besides the leveling experience there is really nothing to do I feel on an alt. Dungeons are absolete really fast apart from mythic plus as heroics have too low time/reward ratio, so all thats left very quickly after hitting level 120 are dailies. I dont have time to raid on my main even so eventhough I welcome these changes it doesnt matter much to me personally - I just level for the fun of it and once its done I hope onto another character unless they make alts as profitable as last 2 expansions , which I sincerely doubt.

See, this has been my biggest problem since 8.0. I used to level a TON of alts. Like, to the point where I was fine with deleting max level chars because I knew I could level his replacement up inside of a month easy. Nowadays, it feels way worse. I have virtually stopped leveling alts. The three I've made since 8.0 hit haven't gotten above 60.

Talking about leveling .. instead of giving people a lvl 110 boost, which results in having a toon you don't understand the skills or rotation off. They should give you like 200 or even 300% exp boost. Insteas of giving you an instant lvl 110 character, you can use the boost as 300% more exp of kills and quests etc. This way you can explore your skills and the game ..

Man, if you think leveling in Wow is painful, I recommend you to go play Era of Celestials or some other shit. In this game you are getting 120 level in one hour of play time. It's the game for you and people like you that just wouldn't care less if the entire content was deleted except for the newest expansion and just simplify the game to BFA only. My god, end game is not everything and Wow still is an MMORPG, not MMO Visual Novel.

I don't understand how the current lvling is enjoyable for anyone, the old world is almost empty and you gain a new spell like every 14-20lvls Same for ppl who want to make lvling harder, it will turn off new players and make most of the current players less interested to lvl up other classes

@@tanatos1997 it's MMO, leveling is part of it, if you can't understand it, buy instant 110 and screw it... You have heirlooms, you have xp potions and enchants, you have level 1 mount, and you are still complaining?

Korax would be nice if it felt like a MMO but it doesn't, as I said: the world is empty. Feels more like a single player experience than a MMO and most of the quest lines are trash. Wouldn't mind lvling if the process felt like part of the game instead of a chore

I hope upgraded heirlooms come soon but I hope they don't put another upgrade item for lots of gold. Just change the weathered heriloom to 120, and the others 110, 100.

I wouldn't say tune the amount of rep, personally. Maybe give more options for *gaining* rep. Honorbound was a nightmare to get to exalted with really only world quests giving you any rep gains.

Hotfix it to give us players that quit something to do, refuse to level now, doing it for 13 years. Should have left heirlooms the way they were for those of us that didn’t care about one-shoting mobs.

This is actually good news, can't get myself motivated to lvl my Mag'har past lvl 61 cause I know the grind that awaits me... Assaults will also help me level all my(many) 110 with very little time spent on each.
