Hi I was there when it happened I watched the whole thing it took from 9 o clock that morning till the following afternoon to get it fully out as they managed to put it out then it restarted and it took about 2 days to put it out due to it restarting and all that stuff my friend was there as he is a firefighter it’s incredible how much a fire can grow especially within a few minutes it’s the first time ever seeing a fire that big last time I saw a fire was when one of my neighbours house caught fire

One of the clearest youtube uploads i've ever watched, hope some of the vertical letterbox uploaders see how it can be done. Also without the captain obvious commentary, Like here comes a fire engine LMFAO. Well done !

Beleived to be a data centre, occupied by the company Paragon, they evacuated the site at the time as this was a normal business day. (Facts may not be accurate with this statement)

Having served many years in the fire service myself and watching many videos from around the world. Not really impressed with the British fire service effectiveness compared some of the others. Seems the British tend to be slower to extinguish their fires with greater property loss, while committing the same or more personnel and equipment to a given response. I've even seen larger fires in the Philippines where the equipment/apparatus and equipment the fire service has is several levels below that of the British fire service be more aggressively attacked and extinguished sooner. Don't get me wrong, the British Fire Service personnel are all professionals and I admire them all, would not hesitate a second to jump an a truck with them. Just their tactics are not as aggressive as those of other countries.

Nah dude we ain't slow over here at all, us brits have one of the best fire services in the world

@@matt37032 Nothing personal. Just my opinion. Seen some REALLY nice work on vehicle extrication in the UK. LOVE how they do it. Want more and better videos on that. Would love to get my hands on some training videos on how they do extrication for use by my local volunteer departments. They have some really interesting techniques and tricks that I haven't seen before.

@@Jason-7212 I know dude, I'm just saying normally when firefighters attend a fire if it takes ages for them to get water on it could be for a number of reasons, it's very rare you see us being slow

If there is no danger to life the firefighters won't risk theirs. In the UK we have defensive and offensive firefighting. Buildings like this are defensive, objective is to stop damage to neighbouring property and life. The building itself is too involved to save so easier to contain and extinguish. Now had it been an office with people reprorted, it would of been offensive. Teams of firefighters would of entered the building with BA and hoses and aggressively attacked the fire to enable the building to be searched. We have building insurance in the UK so it's easier to rebuild than to repair.

Have you seen how slow the Americans are. They take ages to get water on a fire. A lot I’ve seen have taken close to 10 mins to get first water onto a fire and that’s after an age before they arrive. The uk can have water on within a minute with a fairly quick response time.

Firefighters standing around doing nothing Why are they always so slow to put water on the fire All that expensive equipment but not a drop of water on the fire Shameful training being that close to the fire with no air-pack in use Thats what happens when you use paper and cardboard to build with 😆😅😂🤣

You know getting the marquee set up is top priority. Can't have them exposed to the elements now, can we?
