Huge Fish From A Rental Boat!

Catching The Biggest Cabezon Of My Life On Vancouver Island was an absolute thrill! On this day I had went on a solo trip fishing from a rental boat at Pedder Bay Rv Resort and Marina. The day started off with a big bang with my first cabezon around 5 pounds. Soon after I hooked into a 9 pound cabezon right off william head. Which is just outside of the bay at william head. I highly recommend renting a boat at pedder bay if you're feeling adventurous and you want to go fishing or even just sight seeing!

Rental boats from Pedder are a great deal. Its close to good fishing OR close to whales passing by in the right season. A little tip for trolling - if you are going to only run 1 rod then run it on the port side (opposite to the side you steer). That way you can sit, drive and look back across to the rigger when solo.

You may have your fish identification confused. A yellow eye has a yellow eye and red on its back, orange to yellow on the sides, and black on the fin tips

I forgot to mention a yellow eye will have a rounded tail not a pointed fork shape

@@pravinKumar-fg8tn google yelloweye rockfish and google canary rockfish. They are two completely different looking fish. Your friends are must also be miss informed. More then 70 kinds of rockfish so many people are unsure.
