This Porsche Boxster 987 has had a load of functionality added to the cabin to make daily driving even more convenient, which is mostly thanks to the new head unit!
This car came in with a Porsche CDR unit, which we have removed and replaced with a Pioneer Z9200 head unit. This new head unit features a huge amount of connectivity, including bluetooth streaming and hands free, DAB radio, and CD/DVD which is hidden behind the fold down screen. To make use of the DAB functionality, we've added a discreet windscreen mounted DAB antenna which gives access to all those high quality stations!
The main feature of the Pioneer Z9200 is wireless smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can utilise your smartphone apps such as Google Maps, Waze, Spotify and more while driving, for a much more modern in car experience!
We have also added a reversing camera to the Boxster, which is our pro-fit wedge camera. The camera is a very discreet OEM looking unit, with a physical cable run through factory locations in the car to plug into the head unit, providing a clear image when reversing!

@@CambridgeCarAudio I take it’s very expensive hence the drop me an email. I have a budget for my 987.2 to update the system, it’s not a daily but I can’t break the bank for a minor inconvenience that can be resolved using my iPhone, albeit not as convenient as your installation.

Can these integrate with the existing mics for Bluetooth phone use on the 987.2? No point replacing existing. I hope the antenna is an option I could ignore! Any other head unit options for the 987.2? Can Bose cars be changed to standard car amp setups easily or do they run funky fiber optic cables to the speakers as well, rendering them useless? My amp is dead after it got wet so I’m looking at all options (maybe it’s just a bad relay). The key is that custom face plate. YES!!

@@f.kieranfinney457 My 987.2 is a Bose too but I had the new system integrated with the Bose. It looks like a factory install. I didn't like the antenna on the window, so just have AM and FM, no DAB. I did not get mine done from these guys. It was way cheaper elsewhere. But pretty much everything you have asked is possible. If you search Black Ice audio in Bridgnorth, Shrops, Jay will sort you out. He is mobile too depending on the distance.
