AT 2:40 . It's not that Mortal Kombat is gory. It's that it over realizes on it's gore. Fatalities and Fatal blows now take forever to finish. Ever since MKX, combined with toning down the provocativeness of the girls, the gore is the only thing NRS can make as a selling point for the series. I don't have a prob with gore but that's like it's only hook nowadays.

The TotK patent stuff was taken out of context by news sites. The patents Nintendo filed were directly related to their own in-house engine for Zelda, and the tech it uses. All game companies do this all the time.
