Great video mate, takes me back! I used to have a claim in the Wakamarina river in Marlborough. Tried detecting in there 20 years ago but the old detectors back then just picked up too much rubbish so I gave up and went back to sniping in the river. Best find was a pocket with nearly an once (31 gr) in it! Biggest nugget was 4 grams. Great to see young guys out there doin it! All the best! Those bigger nuggets make you forget the cold water and sandflies eh?

Some nice pieces there. When the GPX 6000 battery gives you the first warning tone I've pushed it out to 6 tones before turning off the detector so you have a bit more detecting time before it shuts down. Cheers 🍻
