You're actually washing away a lot of gold when you put a whole shovel into the sluce, because the material lays down in a thick layer and material is riding on top of material down at least half the sluce, which means there isn't enough time and lenght for the heavy material (gold) to work itself down into the pattern of the sluce. This means you're washing gold off your sluce.

I owned a GM1000 and they go off on everything. They are supposed to be for beginners but they are an absolute joke. I really disliked mine and use my 900 which is wayyy more stable and understandable audibly on highly mineralized grounds. Everything is a target according to a GM1000!😂

Well done guys great to show the globe nz still has lots of big nuggets to be found biggest i found is 5.2 grams
@TheSluicers5 күн бұрын
Thanks heaps! Yeah definitely New Zealand has produced the most gold per square kilometre of any country! 5.2 is still a bloody ripper nugget! We would still be over the moon for anything like that even now, took us 4 years to find something over 5 grams.

yo dude i love your content but i need to ask how do you find out the difference between bedrock and just normal rocks?
@TheSluicers5 күн бұрын
Bedrock is the solid bottom basement of any area whether that’s a mountain or river, it continues down effectively indefinitely until it turns into magma. Normally rocks is anything that isn’t connected to the earth.

You are getting the gold nuggets. Try to get also gold dust using your pan. Do gold panning. There maybe plenty of gold dust there.

Massive clickbait minuscule nugget 👍
@TheSluicers24 күн бұрын
@@brunomaelstrom8823 It’s a short the thumbnails aren’t even presented to 99.9% of viewers as it’s found scrolling, it’s impossible to “clickbait” people with a short. It’s still about a $150 piece, go out and find better.

Why call it an english penny???? New Zealand had their own pennies
@TheSluicers26 күн бұрын
Because that penny was a British English penny from I think 1917, New Zealand didn’t make its own pennies till 1940 :).

Australia also has the purest gold too mate
@TheSluicers28 күн бұрын
@@rodneymiddleton1044 So does Switzerland and Scotland, it’s impossible to give an exact location but NZ has had its fair share of claims (same with Australia) however Australia’s gold as a whole while very pure in some areas definitely is not as pure as New Zealand gold on average. On the extremes both places are going to have areas with 98/99% pure nuggets.
Congratulations! Do you have an accurate idea of the depth at which you dug it below the coil? Or an open air depth test figure even?
@TheSluicers27 күн бұрын
Cheers thanks heaps. I would guess it was around 20-25inches or around 60-70cm depth of the nugget, was a faint but large target from the surface.
@lachlanscanlan562127 күн бұрын
@@TheSluicers Thank you! I really need to invest in a gpx6000. I have a gpz but its not great in rugged steep terrain. The sdc gets into these places well however it wont pick up nuggets of that size or even much larger outside of 25cm, seriously.
