Hi. I have 2 Golden Dojo Loaches they are still smaller juvenile size but they are AMAZING. They play with my hand they greet me every morning and they love when Infeed them as they always eat from my hand. They also love each other. When they rest in their hide they are always together they always cuddle up together and rest . It's beautiful to watch those 2 fish. I call them Noodles❤❤❤

I think these fish need a much bigger tank - he must have to clean this constantly - Dojo's and Goldfish the two dirtiest freshwater fish you can own. I have six Dojos. All except 1 are 12" or larger. I don't get what happened to the little guy who is about 5" long, he seems to hide but I've NEVER seen the other loaches pick on him, in fact they wake him up at feeding time or he would just lay on the bottom. He's always been this way. They are amazing fish to own but please plan on getting a 100 gallon or larger tank. Mine are in a 50 gallon right now and it's way too small, I have a 100 gallon on order. I have already purchased a canister filter that hopefully will be easier to manage and keep the water cleaner. They constantly dismantle everything in the tank, they eat all but two species of plants (wish I knew their names) but they aren't above pulling them out of the ground EVERY day. They bite - well sort of. Most of the time it feels like a tickle but one of them actually clamps down a little harder, never breaks the skin but doesn't exactly feel good. I do my best to just ignore it and not give him the satisfaction of running me off when I'm cleaning and replacing things. If you have a big enough tank and all the fish in the tank are peaceful, then I do recommend you get at least 2 DoJos. These guys are so fun to watch and so graceful. As far as sleeping, I once found them sleeping stacked on top of each other. (except for the little guy). but they'll eat a big meal and lie on their backs with their big tummies up in the air. Or they sleep in all sorts of contorted positions. You will laugh every day if you get a couple or more Dojos.

I'm so confused, i have and have had some of these fish the loaches being some of them, did everything I could I came to a conclusion the big brand store just had a bad batch, but howd these get so big in this tank, they all look healthy but yet still obviously too many fish. Cant like hate him cause they all look good but so many questions.

@@trevorpetersen9061 Trevor - are you unhappy because they grew larger than you expected? A lot of books say they will only grow to 6 inches but other books (more accurate) will tell you that they can get to two feet long. They are bottom feeders so they will prefer to eat a LOT of pellets. They also like pealed peas if you can take the time to peel each little pea - its very good for all the fish. They are not agressive but will suck on your arm and nibble your fingers. You can hand feed them, rub their tummies - one of the smartest and most friendly fish you will ever have if you just start working with him. If you lived close to me (Kansas) I would take him in a heartbeat - he would be very welcome at my house.

I notice those smaller size loaches likes to disturb other fishes especially toward goldfish has a coat of gel on their scale, those growing loaches like to suck on them. But find out from your video the fully grown loaches are pretty chill

Agreed, I have three over 4-5 inches and they terrorized my goldfish after awhile to point where I had to separate them.
