I started the year off nicely with a good score in a $1k High Roller tournament. I recorded all my thoughts live from the first hand of the tournament till the last and edited them down to a condensed version to show all the major drama.

Hi Pads, fantastic content as usual. Love the fact you showed more tables, is really insightfull to be able to see how you play certain spots, and how sick some dinamics are between you HS sickos. For me the most interesting part was the one about barreling turn that don't improve blinds ranges using overbets. Do you think we should be perfectly balanced in these kind of spots and so overbetting also with our value range? Because I find that really hard to do, expecially in the low stakes, trying not to loose too much value scaring oppos with too greedy and big sizes. Thanks and kee up the great job.
@padsonpoker4450
@padsonpoker4450 4 жыл бұрын
Hey, I think it’s spot where he’s going to fold so so much so when he’s going to fold a lot I wanna just choose a hand that doesn’t interact with the board. Usually you want to block the board or things around the board because you then block continues but in this case we actually want to unblock the board and not have t/9/j/4/a/heart in our hand because he’s going to have sooo many of these so if we think it’s very good spot to overbluff we are looking to exploit him thus we don’t need to be concerned about balancing

When you are 4 left, and still massive CL, why you jam sb( infinite bb) vs bb shortest stack (12bbs) with 104o ?? at this time with those stack size, with this icm,why shoving here ? it is not better to just fold, and keep the short stack ino the game, for apply icm pressure on the other stack/opponent vs your massive stack ? thanks buddy

Love watching your content, especially this kind were we get to hear your thoughts as you play. I've pretty much only ever played cash until recently, I'm successful live at my stakes which is only 1/1 & 1/2 live and online up to 50nl but I'm proud to have a good win rate. During this lock down however I've started playing tournaments online and I've really been enjoying them 😎 I've realised though been able to beat cash doesn't necessarily translate to tournaments so I've been doing some studying, it's so fun learning something new! I'm now obsessed with becoming better at tournaments. Getting to hear your thoughts after all these years and hours of work and studying you've put in is amazing. Also quite daunting to hear how deeply you think about spots but I guess that's what makes you who you are and successful. If I'm ever half as good as you that will be an achievement 🙂 looking forward to your next video. Stay safe ✌️ P. S if you have any tips on how to study tournaments that would be great. So far I've been checking out content on a couple of training sites, that and watching people like you play and and trying to understand why you do what you do

Hey Pads. I don’t know if you’re interested in answering strategy questions, but I’ll try anyways. The big turn overbet at 35:25 w 33. Are you actually balanced in these kind of spots? With what kind of hands do you balance? Because I find myself doing these turn overbets vs capped ranges mainly as a bluff, and feel like population in mid stakes, tends to do so as well. I f you don’t want to answer such a question here, I want to say, still an awesome video, as always.

Unreal content, much appreciated, this shouldn't be free! On the hand where you defend 7s from the SB vs EP and the flop comes QJ3 and you only continue as his bet sizing is small...do you think it is a mistake from the oppo to bet small? Feels like there is an obsession to bet tiny on dry boards when a 40-50% pot size bet would probably make you fold 7s here and also a good size to continue on the turn to double barrel...happy to hear that I'm wrong and have no idea!

Hi Pads, great stuff ! I have heard you say you spent about 10 hours literally every day playing/studying poker a couple of times and I am just wondering, how ? I am curious about your routine, how much time do you spend on studying for instance, and are you studying before/after every session or just on certain days? Do you grind every single day during (big) events ? Care to elaborate ? Thanks.

I have a question, I come from Magic the Gathering and I've been playing poker for 2 months and my best achievement is winning the big 2 on stars so sorry if this sounds stupid. When u 4bet k2, I understand u may think he is 3betting fast with an ace using it as a blocker and the fact that u don't have an ace urself may reiforce that reasoning but then why dont u go all in instead of 4betting? I think 4betting may show weakness because u are showing that u can still fold to a shove, all in puts much more pressure on him, he would have to risk his tournament life by calling and in case ur reasoning is wrong u are losing a lot of money anyways if u 4bet or if u jam. My point is just that if u 4bet I think he may shove a9 or hands like that but if u shove he is forced to fold them for ICM. Does this make any sense? Thanks, amazing content
@padsonpoker4450
@padsonpoker4450 4 жыл бұрын
I accomplish the same by 4betting, if he’s bluffing he will fold if he has a good hand I don’t want to risk as many chips. If the lot is 10 and I risk 15 to win 10 it’s goood price, if I risk 100 to win 15 it’s not good price

Hi pads mate. I think your approach to poker is so refreshing man. You find insane spots. In the 3b pot where u lead the turn to deny him equity with the king. Think that's incredible do you think this would be an effective tool to use on small stakes?? Cheers man
