What about one the best poker stream ive ever seen, played and commented from one the best player on the streets. A big thank you and please do it again! Ive ever wonder if trying to avoid those marginal spots in that specific kind of situations (last 2 tables of an huge tourney)when you actually play so much better postflop wouldn't be a better approach? Maybe just making this adjustment to those specific tournaments where the field left is not reg heavy. and cause it actually happend every 20 millions years, and giving them the chance of busting you with a flip is not what we are supposed to do when players like you play so much better shorter stacks, postflop,icm spots, energy wise approcah ect. Man I just feel bad for you and wanna make you a hot chocolate with rum to try hard to make you understand that its actually bad to punt it of there. Consider my point, with much love

Hey Pads, is the AKs(last hand) shove def better than just a call ? i would just call cause i think this is a special case of ICM where the payjumps are so enourmous, i mean your chips are probably worth it at least 50k-100k in that spot. Obv in more normal mtts is a no brainer. Not the type of guy of being results oriented just not really sure how to analyse this on ICMizer too since that tool is usually for shove/fold spots.

Can you give some thoughts on AQ vs 22 hand? Is it that checking AQ/AK hands on that board means we are trying to play a smaller pot with a 1 pair hand on a wet board.... So AA/JJ/22/AJ/A2 can all be 3 street value hands but it would suck to bloat the pot with 1 pair and a spade or K/Q/T comes on turn and now we don't know what to do and might face pressure... Is that generally the best way to play top pair in that spot would you say or is this an adjustment villain is (correctly?) making given we have a lot of chips and also that we are deep in a big tournament... So the ICM is affecting that we want to play smaller pots with weaker parts of our range here? Just realising I'm quite off the mark possibly and keen to hear you thoughts on this spot from villain's perspective. Cheers

Really enjoyed that, many thanks! Pilaa means drunk in dutch slang. The guy must have had enough to not care and wager all of it. What do you think about 3 bet folding queens there? So much money left to play for and id still not be happy to face A5 suited etc. if you go nuts. Cheers!

Love to see such an accomplished highroller like yourself on his feet (socks) for a $100 usd tourney, still lifechanging money. Loving every bit of your content. Keep it up. Have a ton of questions regarding poker and solving and suc... here´s one, since the raise of poker and chess and solvers and how do they overlap, I was wondering, maybe pointlessly, still, how important do you believe solvers outputs are, as a bad play in poker may still win, vs a bad play in chess could rarely ever win and what this tells us. Not sure I´m expressing myself all that good or that my point is of any relevance. Loving your humanity and emocionality and honesty, keep it up bruh. Much love to your commintment.

Hey pads, and everyone else for that matter, what do you do in this spot: Day2 of 109 blowout series: 70 ish people remaining, ur 25/30th ish posistion with around 55 big blinds. You get pocket 9´s in the small blind. Folds around to the button who has you covered(70bbs ish) Button opens and i decide to 3bet to 8BB. Big blind folds and villain (button) decides to min click 4bet to 16BB. I ended up folding, but i regret not 5bet shoving now. What do we do here? can we sometimes have just a calling range pre against his click? Playing OOP with 99s in a 3 bet pot can be quite uncomfortable aswell i believe.
@xparalysis3 жыл бұрын
Personally I'm ripping it in or folding, depending on history with v and dynamics. 99s is a pretty strong hand in that spot imo. With no history, I personally don't hate the fold, calling and playing oop seems like you'll do a ton of check folding, so I like piling better than calling for that reason. Interested to hear if Pads has thoughts on this one. I always find these spots to be tricky too, particularly deep and don't study as much as I should.
@xparalysis3 жыл бұрын
Also, folding you have 45-47 bbs left, so not terrible and you can wait for better spots. All in all, I think folding isn't bad.
@martinlund65263 жыл бұрын
@@xparalysis yeah i didint really have that much history on the opponent at that point. But he seemed like a pretty good reg who was envolved in a lot of action afterwards. i also never ever wanna call is 4 bet obviously. I meant if we could call his raise from button and with some frequency and most likely have big blind comming along aswell?

@TheArchiveOfWonder3 жыл бұрын
That AQ hand tilted me. First off it's an easy 3 bet pre, but I don't mind you flatting. But to fold it just seems so weak mathematically. AQ in a 6 handed game is SO strong relative to those blinds.
