As a former artilleryman, thank God I never saw one of those.... They always taught us that by the time we would have seen one, we were already dead. A VERY formidible foe indeed.... This bird is absolutely stunning and great pilot skills! Do remember that these helicopters usually rolled out to a specific speed and took off, not straight up and down. The missle pod wings added about 25% lift while in attack mode. Remarkable machine until the deployment of the stinger missle. When my wife went home to see family in Belarus, she took a picture by one of these in a park, full of Soviet military machines. I was jealous.... :-D

If this would be shot around 48- 72 FPS and played back at normal speed I would be convinced it was the real thing! (Well at least until it flew in front of people!) I really like the execution of the landing gear. The paint is well done too! Nice job!

Nice helicopter, but shakes like a fried fish (1:15). Needs re-balancing. Even though it looks like it's running smooth, the vibration is still there in high frequency form that could loosen parts and crash.

That's the blades straightening out in the holder during spool up,- inevitable. A very nice model. Think the rotation was clockwise on the full scale.
