Huge KONE TranSys Elevator at IKEA Alam Sutera, Tangerang (P-G)

The first IKEA store in Indonesia. This elevator goes between the car park and the ground floor showroom entrance. For some reason, the voices doesn't matched with the indicator's floor numbering.

Trust me; there have been a LOT of instances on KZbin where the elevator is on level 1, but the voice unit says “Third floor” or something else.

+MinecraftGuy 1.7.10 Hydraulics are slower, less efficient and take up more space.

Also, a lot of the big companies have stopped making hydraulics (except for in America). KONE included (they've stopped making them in the US too).

KONE no longer makes hydraulic elevators since 2007 and replaced them with MonoSpace (or EcoSpace in North America) due to environmental.

What idiot designed this? Buttons arrangement of having one floor on each side is just STUPID! And who on earth decided to put an enclosed lift in a Glass Shaft?

Yeah it would be better if the lift car is glass. Maybe the reason why the lift car is completely solid is to prevent damages from moving furnitures. This is not the only one, two other lifts in the showroom entrance/marketplace access also shares the same cab design.

And yeah, there should be two buttons on each panels inside the lift instead of one which is really odd. When I first ride this lift I got confused; I was thinking "Where on earth is the button for level 1?"

its not stupid, you just dont understand. this elevator was designed for Through type door, and not every door served every floor, each COP only has button for each floor they will served.

A lot of IKEA stores have a glass shaft, but enclosed elevator. Just waiting for the day I finally get to experience a glass elevator in IKEA… But yeah; one floor button on each side is not ideal.
