im gonna go out on a limb and say this is a little bigger than minifigure scale
@MGF_71 Жыл бұрын
The standard LEGO minifigure scale is 1 : 45, and it's based on minifig height. My shuttle, on the other hand, is at a 1 : 25 scale and is based on minifig width, which makes it significantly larger.

Wow! I am AMAZED that the motors were strong enough to handle the torque of raising the wings. Did you have to gear it at all to manage that smooth of a wing raise/lower?
@MGF_71 Жыл бұрын
Each wing weighs about 2300 grams and you are right they create a lot of torque. I’ve designed custom gear boxes and 4 of them handle the torque. Each gear box is powered by 2 XL motors and to get the extra juice needed I run them on 12.6 Volt.

only because Lego would sell it for 3000€, or something crazy like that. Compared to the new UCS Venator, I would happily pay 650€ for this Lambda Shuttle. And Lego would still make a reasonable Profit (its only plastic in the end).
