Hi May I know what's the water tds? Thanks!

Unfortunately I do not measure TDS. I have lived in a number of different areas in the US, but all have generally been considered to possess hard water with pH of 7.8 or higher. For fish like mollies that prefer harder water, I add some crushed coral which is intended to raise TDS. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for explaining the ph situation. I've been trying to explain that to as many people, but it's a difficult conversation. Why make it harder on ourselves!? Even when you buy a fish from a pet store, they've been doing water changes from their tap, and the fish, even if they are wild caught, would have been acclimated to that local water. Of course there are exceptions, but the vast majority of LFS fish have already been converted by the time you buy them.

Well said and you’re welcome! I think it’s really important to spread that knowledge because early on a lot of people get caught in the trap of chasing particular pH values. Thanks for watching!

What part of florida are you in? Sounds like steel pete ot sarasota if you were gone for a month
@August_Duwell3 күн бұрын
I'm in the St Pete area right now for school. We evacuated for a month and a half for the hurricane and I was also gone a few weeks for winter break when we don't have access to our dorms. Thanks for watching!

I always say, your bacteria is like an expandable rubber band. It expands and contracts to the size of the load, if you put too many in at once , it snaps. Overfeeding is a common issue for sure, most fish we get in the hobby have never seen their native environment, but never chase ph , u will have more issues fluctuating ph, rather than just leaving it alone, good video thanks ksnfor sharing

What size tank can you keep BlueRam in and can you keep Apistogramma with them I have a 15g all in tank
@August_Duwell11 күн бұрын
You could keep a pair of rams in as small as a 10 gallon for sure. They can be kept with Apistogramma, but I would say you’d want at least a 40 breeder for that as they can be pretty territorial. In your 15 I’d choose between either a pair of Apistos or a pair of rams. Thanks for watching!
