Today’s video is my second makeup declutter for 2019! I am going through and decluttering the products that I don’t reach for on a regular basis. In order to keep my collection from getting out of hand again, I’ve changed my purchasing habits for 2019. I am also more selective about which PR products I accept. Makeup is fun and it’s totally okay to purchase new products, but one of my goals in 2019 is to be more intentional about my makeup purchases. I'm now buying minis whenever available. And I'm determined to start rotating my collection so I can figure out what I truly like and use and lose the rest. I saw something super cool, if you swatch your lipsticks on paper and then laminate it, you can use a one-hole punch and then stick that to the top of your lipstick tube to be able to tell the colour at a glance!

Lipstick is my weakness, it’s definitely my biggest category in my collection but I’m sure I wear the same few the most 🤷🏼‍♀️ bite beauty has one of my favorite formulas and I just rediscovered the shade Pepper, I also love the besame lipsticks, the hourglass lipsticks, and the urban decay!! I also love bite’s liquified formula, it’s like a gloss but a lipstick

I absolutely love your declutter videos. You just give so much information and the swatches are great. One thing I've seen other people on youtube do with their lipsticks is they take a sheet of paper and swatch the lipstick, laminate the paper, cut out the individual shades and tape/glue on the top of the lipstick tube to see the color. Safiya Nygaard had a video called "I had my makeup collection professionally organized" or something similar where they taught her to do that.

Watching you go through this, I was happy with your decisions because our lip color preferences are so similar! I don't like barbie pinks either, and much prefer cooler, purply-pinks instead. Same with lip gloss, I like sheer washes of color because I usually put them over lip stick and lip liner. Please do foundation & concealers! Hey Andréa. This is what I did with my Smashbox lipsticks (because I hate that I can’t see the color outside of the box, too.): Take a hole punch & punch out a circle of the box top. Then take the punch & put it on the bullet of lipstick. Then I coated it in clear nail polish. It has worked great & then I didn’t have to keep the boxes. I also started wearing mine more, too. 😊

I saw a KZbinr swatch the lipsticks on paper and they laminated the swatches and put them on the packaging!! I think it was Safiya Nygaard! I think it was the video where someone professionally organized her make up or filming room! That would be a good way for you to see what they are!! If the shade is close to the box, either keep that part of the box glued to a paper close to the lipsticks or hole punch it and put it on top of the tube. Safiya Nygaard did something like this.

I'm so sad that they discontinued those Essence glosses. :( They were definitely my favorite, and the new ones they came out with just aren't the same. Really impessed with the amount you got rid of and how rational you were about it. It can be really hard to get rid of things at times, but I think people in the beauty community (including myself) went way overboard on buying anything and everything and the reality is that most of our products end up going bad before we use even 20% of them. I had 180 lipsticks about 1 yr ago and am now down to 40. I started by getting down to 80, then 6 months later cutting that in half. I really did it because I was feeling overwhelmed and guilty that I had so many that I wasnt reaching for. I def feel better about the amount now but even still feel bad that I have some older ones that are getting bad and I just can't wear all of them as much as I want to. So for now I'm not going to be buying anymore and I'm trying to use up some of what I have. I think I'd be happy with 20. 10 shades for spring/summer and 10 for fall/winter. I think that would be perfect for me. Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed this. ☺ 👌

A tip for how you can mark your smashbox lipsticks to use them more and see the color: swatch on a paper and use a hole puncher to make a circle which you then tape to the bottom of the lipstick. Safiya Nygaard did this to her whole collection!

You could take a makeup brush and swatch some of the lip color on top of the lipstick! If they don't dry, do it on the underside of a piece of tape and then tape a tiny piece to part of the product.

A way to know what color lipsticks you have is to swatch the lipsticks on a white paper, laminate it, but out a small swatch, and use double sided tape to stick them to the bottom flat part of the lipstick tube. It sounds like a lot of work but super fast and easy

I had the same problem with the smashbox lipsticks as well, so I actually ended up taping a swatch of the colour to the lid to tell them apart :-)

An idea to help identify the colors of the lipsticks is to swatch the lipstick on a piece of paper, laminate it, and stick it on the lipstick!

For the lipsticks with no shade colour on the packaging, you could tray what Safiya Nygaard did. The girls who were helping her swatched the lipsticks on a piece of paper, they laminated it, then they whole punched the swatches and they glued the offcuts to the lipstick packaging

To help with those Smashbox lippies, take a small white circular sticker and swatch the lipstick on the sticker. Then stick the sticker to the bottom. I have learned this from another KZbinr, I can't remember who though. Hope this will help you!!!

I can't remember where I saw it, but someone got their makeup professionally organized and the organizers suggested swatching the lipstick on paper, I think, and then they cut that out, laminated them, and then attached them to the lipstick tube so you could see the color in the organizer.

Have you thought about maybe cutting out the color label from the box and glueing them on to the corresponding bullets? You could even laminate them if you want to get fancy 😎😎. Bummer that some of the colors don't match well with the labels, though.

Oh no! I am sorry to hear that it is breaking you out! Do you have oily skin? I really love the Catrice foundation and the Makeup Revolution foundation!
