The healing from what some ofther few guys who played the game said wasn't designed to make the game easier. The amount of max AP for AC6 is lower so you are more likely to die from getting hit a couple of times in quick successions. The repair kits only heal up to 4000. So that usually averages out to the usual AC AP unless you heal too early. Healing also has a cool down and you cant attack during it so you have to decide when to use it during more stressful situations since as mentioned before getting hit a couple of times from strong attacks will easily stagger and kill you before you can heal.

That actually sounds really interesting for a health mechanic.

@@btgplay Yeah, I think it's a good addition. Giving the player a way to restore some health also allows From to make enemies more challenging in new ways. If you can repair then enemies can be more aggressive and diverse in their movesets, and combat can demand more precise and deliberate evasion, which in my experience makes it much more engaging.

i think having some form of healing is a really great decision for ac6 not only for the reason you mentioned but also bc the missions are way longer than previous armored cores. Where healing would be too strong in a game like ac3 I think it fits perfectly for ac6

One of these years, a Gundam AU is gonna come out with modular parts for Mobile Suits and oh boy I am gonna be laughing so hard. (To be fair, SEED/Destiny had weapon packs that could be swapped, but that was all.)

I'm amazed at how fast FromSoft is pressing on the gas after Elden Ring. We got a new AC that looks reinvigorated with budget and the best ideas from 10 years of Miyazaki games AND Elden Ring DLC coming out before the year ends. Best couple years for gaming in a while thanks almost exclusively to one studio.

This. We've waited for *years* for this. While I'm just happy we're finally getting a new AC game, my hope is that this is the game changer that the genre needs. Up until now, the best we've got is low effort games like Mechwarrior 5, for ex., and there just hasn't been much - if any - good media around the genre for a long time. But right now Fromsoftware has *clout* and momentum. I just hope this isn't going to be Fromsoft's Cyberpunk 2077.

Looks like the borrowed from V with the fcs window with your ammo count and enemy AP and stagger in the circle. I liked that. V's hud was......painful, but when you got use to it, it was very intuitive..

It's definitely a refinement on the UI of 5th generation, which makes me happy because it had good ideas but didn't execute so well on them.

I have never been that big of A mech fan, I am however a massive souls fan and one of my good friends is A HUGE mech fan and has played most of the older AC games, and he is beyond hyped for this game. I myself am going to preorder and play the living fuck out of it. Very excited.

I mean, if you grew up with AC firstly before Demon Souls/Dark Souls formula was a thing(first was King's Field). What fan wouldn't ride for an AC game. This can be said for any meat rider who like Soulsborne, so it ain't different just from riding FS generally.

Man, my first introduction to Fromsoft *was* Armored Core, years and years before Souls was even a thing. I didn't even realize Dark Souls was *by* Fromsoft when I first heard of it lol.

@@ASNS117Zero plus, a lot of people don't realize that FromSoft has basically 2 communities with a huge border, imo, AC and Soulsborne. It's either you know AC or Soulsborne titles, unless you're a big fan. Then both(of course their other titles besides these 2). So it's not THAT surprising to see people who already know AC and already FS fans be this happy(or meat riding as the guy said)after 10 long years. Also was in the same boat as you, didn't know at the time FS made the Soulsborne series till DS3. It's a case-by-case basis of where you started firstly.
