We're prepared for it,.. you guys are suffering due to lack of preparations unfortunately from State Government - I think this happened to you guys (Texas) back in 2012 and recommendations were put in place to prevent this from happening again, and nothing was done unfortunately... ☹☹ not trying to lay blame at all... it's just unfortunate that is was preventable. We are thinking of you guys and hoping things warm up and the power comes back for you SOON!

How wonderful to see you two!!! Had a thought for the piece of floral bracelet if it would work. I think I remember some of your instant ancestors hanging from a picture rail. You could use 1 piece or all 4 pieces along with some velvet ribbon to hang them. I've been collecting keys for many years and have had a project in mind for them, but as yet have not done it😋 Make a tabletop out of them! Just loved watching you go through all the treasures!

How I clean old stuff - I have used polident tablets to rid items of crud and it works well without harming the items and you can also buy inexpensive sonic cleaners to rinse them and get off more crud. Then polish with the proper products depending on the metal or content of the item.

Great finds! Greg was very nice to give the lot to you guys. There looks like some real good pieces in there. That little bowl thing with feet reminds me of an incense burner i had back in the day. Our power here was out for the last week and we've had a heck of a time of it (no elec., water, heat, no way to cook) all from ice storms. It's so nice to have heat back. Have fun cleaning that stuff and creating new treasures.

What a great visit!---I wonder what the time frame was for all his finds. Can you just imagine the amazement of turning over a spade full of dirt and finding a sparkler?! My favorite was that peacock pin with the few remaining blue stones. That must have been a stunner when new.---I suggest making a few windchimes out of the keys. Makes nice music (got any driftwood to hang them from? Or old rolling pin; wooden spoon?!)

That reflector would make a cool ring! It'll be fun to see what's under the glass dome. The pressed metal lady too. The red stone bracelet would make cool earrings. I'd make you a pair. Record cold for me in Minnesota was 45F below and in Idaho 57 F below. Where I live now, over the Sierras from Lake Tahoe it gets below zero several times each winter. Wow, after cleaning, what fun to design some things.

Wow guys! I found this to be a terribly interesting video. My favorites were the can that contained the “World’s Greatest” pins and then the baggie of jewelry things right after it. I also loved the last can. I did cringe a bit as I watched Karen run her bare fingers through piles of rusty items. Hope your tetanus shot is up to date. The items that you cleaned with CLR, I liked them better when they were uncleaned. The way you laid them all out at the end, I could imagine them in random arrangements in a shadow box. Thanks, Greg, for supplying your metal findings to Karen and Rob for this video.
