Microwave 3-4 minutes with husk intact. Cut off the stem end, grab the silk and squirt it out of the husk. No wrapping or soaking needed. The husk insulates and steams the cob perfectly.

With husk on, rinse under cool water and microwave for about 1 - 1 1/2 minutes. Using oven gloves, hold the ear and start to gently grasp and slowly pull the silk group from the top. This usually removes 99% of the silk! then peel off the husk, and butter, salt, and pepper (or spices if you wish). E Z P Z. 👍‍🌽🌽🌽
@grayboo212
@grayboo212 Жыл бұрын
Actually, if you just cut off a half inch or so of the stalk end, you can then squeeze the silk end like a tube of toothpaste and the corn will come right out, virtually silk free.

I'm pretty sure I've read you don't want plastic wrap touching your food in the microwave. Something about carcinogens being released by the microwaves. I leave the husks on and wrap in a damp paper towel for 3 minutes depending on size, then, into foil and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
