Necas is a 100 point player on 26 other teams. He’s not for the canes, because he doesn’t play on the power play, doesn’t take faceoffs, and doesn’t kill penalties. He doesn’t dig in the way Rod wants, so he doesn’t get the ice time. He really doesn’t fit the system. But whoever gets him, is getting an absolute freak offensively. Defensively, woof.

Necas is heading for salary arb ; Carolina overvalued him in the market place and I am Canes fan and I am just stating the facts here . Necas wants out we know that and Carolina is not giving him a multi - year seven milliom AAV deal per year they simply don't value him above Jarvis who has passed Necas on the depth chart. Ehlers to the Canes makes sense and Necas going back in return but a three team deal w/ Montreal involved makes no sense at all and asking Montreal to give up that much for Necas is a measure of pure insantity. Teams are not giving up as much this offseason. Also saying Necas is better than Ehlers well that is a matter of opinion. Carolina and the Jets need to work out a deal on there own to make a Necas/ Ehlers deal come to fruition , basically this deal makes no sense if your are the Habs real life is not a a video game just saying.

I can't believe i'm responding to this nonsense but I have to. Has anyone noticed that Necas is not even averaging 20 goals a season and as recently as 21-22 he only had 14 goals. Yes the past 2 seasons he's had 28 and 24 but that's not enough to mortgage the house and that's with a team decidedly better than the Habs. Hell put Anderson on a line with Dach and whoever and he could accomplish those numbers.
