Huge MWIII Perk & Equipment Changes + More! | (Season 3 Patch Details)

Season 3 of Modern Warfare III is here and it came with a bunch of changes to many of the Perks and Equipment as well as fixes and adjustments to many more things. In today's video, I wanted to share exactly what changes with this update (aside from weapon balancing which will be covered tomorrow). @@samisnotreal4360 no, if they make one or both of them capable of getting one burst kills to even 20m with low recoil, then it’s justifiable for them to make the burst delay quite slow. So think about the Aug and M16 in BOCW. If they aren’t going to do that they should revert the burst delay nerfs from a while ago to the Famas and Type 97.

Thank god. I tried multiple times to make is usable, tried casus and ZENH35 and so many combos. You can definitely make it viable before but you had to use all 5 attachments on stability

I don't this will change lobbies that much. Like most of us aren't going to make new friends just to play COD. I have 1 buddy who I play duos in WZ with and a couple other guys who I run MP with. Our party is never bigger than 3, and that isn't going to change just to get a little more XP.

I think the S.A.E. fix refers to Departures. The outside area on one side of the map. The KZbin channel DefendTheHouse discovered completely by accident that the S.A.E. straight up doesn't work when targeting that area.

I play solo and I don't see it as a "Punishment" They've always given party buffs even before this If anything, they increased the amount you get from playing in a party, before it was about 15% buff to EXP overall. They're not "Attacking Solo Players", this has always been a thing.

I've literally played solo strictly all throughout MW2019-MWIII while doing the mastery camo grinds and solo que is brutal you literally have to carry all 5 other "teammates" while the other team has 6 decent or above average players that you have to outplay and outgun in order to even have a chance of winning or doing anything substantial. In my opinion there should be a mercenary Moshpit or gamemode because solo is even worse now.

- As a solo player, yeah these bonus are not ideal - Stuns: finally, they made the tac mask a counter for it - Decoys: very interesting, specially on small maps - Flash: just different, but a nerf, which is good - Frag: Good change - Thermite and Thermobaric: strange change, they seems way too good now

I like the update, particularly with the stun grenades. I'm glad that it doesn't just flat out ignore the tac mask because before it felt like it ignored the tac mask perk which is supposed to be a counter to it. I wish they did the same thing with the flash grenades. Before the season 3 update, it felt like flashes ignore tac mask, and I wouldn't be surprised if it still ignores tac mask. Who's ever idea it was to make flashes and stuns so powerful to the point they practically ignore the perk that's supposed to counter them needs to be fired and never allowed to work in video game making ever again. Especially considering it's a problem that existed since the previous call of duty game

As a 100% solo player im annoyed I get less XP than than squads. These are all good changes and im thrilled to have quick fix I just wish theyd drop the balancing vests by some having extra tactical or missing perks the vests balance themselves just let everyone pick 2 tacticals or 2 lethals or one of each

As a tac mask user/stun hater, this patch is a pretty big win for me. I usually don't run EOD, so the frag nerf also helps me. The relative XP nerf for solo play is the only thing that kind of irks me, but it doesn't impact me that much.

Yes, they need to do this with flashes too though. Before the season 3 update, flashes feel like they ignore tac mask. I wouldn't be surprised if they still do after the update. Also, I'm a fellow tac mask user and a stun/flash hater.

I miss early MW19 c4. Granted, it was super OP, but I remember being able to yeet it 40 feet away and detonate it mid air... Running that, and the P90 or Kar98 was some of the most fun I had in that game lol

You should probably look at the damage values for the equipment as well. I was testing the Shrapnel Perk in plunder with my friend and we got carried away in testing out a bunch of lethals and tacticals. Something I'm pretty sure is not correct is the "outer damage" values for the breacher drone. In our testing we noticed that the damage values from pre-patch remained - meaning that at the new "Outer Damage Range" of 10 METERS you can still hit someone for 125 dmg than the expected 75 dmg for the patch. Maybe it was bugged or different for Plunder/Warzone, but I'd bet there's some discrepancies to find across the board for some of the changes. Something else to point out is that at least in our Plunder games, the EMD Grenade was very buggy when removing the tracking darts. Most of the time you can remove it as intended, but there were instances where he wasn't able to remove it and was constantly having to retry the interaction to remove the tracker until he succeeded. Not only that, but in every instance after removing the dart, the message to interact and remove the dart never went away for the entirety of that game(even after death). As for our findings for Shrapnel, It's a pretty bad perk. In most cases, it seemed like our tac-sprint wasn't interrupted?... it was very easy to re-initiate the sprint immediately after the explosion if we were even deterred. We noticed pretty much no change in movement speed, and the only thing it did succeed in was the 3 sec delay in the regeneration of health. It'd be nice if it had a concussive effect like the thermobaric grenade, or crippling effects like hollow points to the legs. I'd like to see an in-depth look on all warzone perks but nobody does it like you brother. I haven't kept up with your content as much lately, but you mainly cover multiplayer if I'm not mistaken. You'd be able to tap into a bigger player base because a lot of the warzone perks are only finally getting figured out, and there wasn't a single deep dive on Shrapnel. The equipment is only slightly different, and I also tested molotovs since nobody else seems to have done so. They're essentially the same as thermobaric grenades, but with an immediate explosion(no cooking) and without the concussive effect. I'm not sure if the damage values are too different but it'd be nice to see a channel cover any potential discrepancies!

Dead Silence states it now applies Ghost, which was not mentioned in the patch list. Have not tested it myself but if it does that would be great. Already sometimes run it with Lightweight Boots so I can move silent _and_ fast.

11:00 with the SAE there was an area of the map where placing the strikes would simply not damage players at all. And the specific area that i recall is the out doors area with a bunch of cars and what not.

I like to play solo for many reasons. Online "friends" that I've never met in real life is just fn weird imo. Many times I find myself not remembering who a "friend" is. Always feeling obligated to accept an invite. It does absolutely suck when your playing a clan of good players. However, coercing people that payed for a game to play in any other way than how they choose is fd up.

changing attachments/weapons mid match is completely screwed now, when you respawn you'll just get your unadjusted old class and you'll have to open the class menu, manually reselect your adjusted class (the menu is screwed btw) since for some reason, when you reopen the class selection screen, it defaults to either classes that was actually next to the one that you're trying to switch to. It is so annoying

Have you heard anything about weapon skins not working in ranked? I bought the augmentation mcw and it’s not showing up in game. Also the rb claw grip isn’t even available to equip when using it. Hope you can bring some light to these issues because they never seem fix these things unless you cover them. Thank you

I hate when they have a daily challenge for Breacher Drones. I hop into HC modes and literally send one right into someone's chest, and if they're using EOD it basically just bounces off of them. That should be an instant kill if it physically hits a player in hardcore mode regardless of EOD vest IMO.

The ammo box seems to be way faster to use; before the patch it needed to open completely, where as now it can be used about as soon as it touches the ground. The medic box is not changed though

@Ace, regarding the Decoy Grenade buff, it would be interesting to further inspect the Assassin Vest interaction. "If the player also has the Ghost T/V Camo equipped, they gain the effects of having the Hijacked IFF Strobe." Does that mean if you have Ghost Camo, and you throw a Decoy at your feet, it will act as a pseudo IFF Strobe, working against anti-air killstreaks, such as the VTOL? Or do you only get hidden from the radar?

There is a fix for the latency widget go to settings and under clock and latency and packet loss there is another called “connection meter” I think? This will appear in game and it’s very minimal, though sometimes it only appears on a killcam but atleast that way you get to see your latency

I wonder how many of the devs wait for your vid to know 100% if the changes they make go through. Things like delay on a C4 charge is something players would never know to point out. It takes the testing like you do to determine something didn't go through correctly. And because you do such a great job of showing pre-patch/post-patch, they can see right away what the problem is.

With the current state of FPS games all of my buddies who played quit playing them. Running solo in ranked is awful, but it was fine in PUBs but if you run into more groups it'll get worse

Marksman gloves seem to have been nerfed unlike what the patch notes say.. the idle sway doesn’t seem to make a difference with Marksman gloves at least on snipers

It’s good to interact & party up with like minded people in the cod community. We party up almost every day & find success. The main issue is that you get SEVERELY punished for not doing this. As a reasonably skilled player, the game just fills my lobby with absolute turds if I play solo.. I’ll win 1 in 4 just because of sbmm. If like minded online friends & I play together, in a party of 4 or more, we don’t lose.. maybe 1or 2 in 30-40 games. We are not gamblers, we are gamers, but treated to with poker machine algorithms..

I think the xp bonus is fine. It’s an additive bonus, it’s not like they’re punishing solo players

They broke the game too. 😮‍💨 The cold blooded perk doesn't work anymore, and you can't change attachments on weapons mid match anymore. it glitches back to what you had equipped on it when the match started.
