I would love to see you shop your closet more It seems you gravitate to very similar things. Buying new things is fun, but sometimes it seems that you bring things in that are similar to items you already have. Because you buy luxury and high quality, the things in your closet will stand the test of time, and you have a vast clothing collection. It would be much more interesting to see how you work with things you have collected, and only bring in very special pieces. That would be more in line with your sustainability ethos. If your purchases are a content issue, just take us shopping and try on things as a way to show us what is out there. . This is said with love not criticism.

I agree with all of the comments. As someone who has watched you for years I am slowly losing interest and connecting to you in some way or form. It isn't the price of items that I personally don't agree with, rather the amount of luxury items you "need" in such a short amount of time. The hauls are endless and the amount of items are shocking. I have noticed some items you even forget about because you have that many. It does seem like your interest in fashion is becoming an addiction and more to get that "fix" of happiness when you buy something. Like others have said, most of us can't connect to this, we spend months and months saving up for just one item in your haul, let alone the twenty dresses you show us in one sitting. There is nothing wrong with working hard and spending your money as you choose - but your audience are a big factor to KZbin and for me, other than the cooking portion, I tend to now skip on anything luxury. Maybe if you showed us alternatives or styling videos? Rather than continuously purchasing. I also find the contrast between trying to consume foods and buy certain items that are beneficial to the planet and then buying what I think is an unnecessary amount of clothing quite hypocritical. Hope to see you take some feedback on and alter some of your topics as I do enjoy your energy.

The conversation about Worcestershire sauce being somewhat unknown in the U.S. surprised me. It's a staple condiment here and used in many recipes. The traditional sauce is made with anchovies so that ingredient is left out of vegan varieties.

It gave off the impression that they (or at least Charlie) think Americans are mouth breathing knuckle draggers. The irony being he showed his ignorance by slagging off ingredients for lea & perrins (which are short and not full of “nasties” really) to big up another brand all while not knowing the ingredients in l&p. Tragically moronic.

As an influencer I wonder if Josie feels the pressure to do this or whether she would shop this excessively if she didnt think it was part of her job. If they feel so strongly about why don’t they get themselves educated/ trained nutritionist that way I think people would be more receptive to their opinions- absolutely no hate x

Hi Josie, I really like the variety of content in your vlogs (fashion, fitness, health, gardening) but the amount of shopping you do is so excessive. I think it’s not a problem that it’s expensive, it’s your money and you work for it, but I’ve seen you buy the same things over and over and a lot of items you bought in the past aren’t really seen in any vlogs so I guess you hardly wear them. Also one of the reasons to buy more timeless pieces is to buy less. If you constantly buy new things it’s the same as buying trendy pieces each season in the end. As I said I really like the vibe of your channel but especially with regard to sustainability and the environment (something you also talk about a lot) the overconsumption is just too much 😕
@GodsGrace987

My thoughts to this is she probably doesn’t keep half the stuff she buys. But every time she buys stuff and links it…and we click that link….she makes money. So why would she stop buying (probably returning a large portion of that and why you don’t see her wear it)? She’s in the business to advertise and sell the products she likes. But WE as the viewers and consumers are the ones that have the power. We don’t have to click those links and we don’t have to buy what she recommends unless we want to. That is how influencers make money dear. Through our involvement. ☺️❤️
@alicegracelife
@alicegracelife 7 ай бұрын
@@GodsGrace987yes I agree, but to me Josie definitely seems really authentic, which is something I like about her. So I think she keeps the things she says she is keeping and sometimes you see these pieces in wardrobe organisation videos for example. But I get 100 percent what you mean and there are probably a lot of influencers doing this, but I guess this strategy makes more sense with slightly more affordable pieces as most people will probably not click the links to buy items like the ones showed in the video :) and in general I feel even if it’s their job influencers should as well be a bit environmentally conscious especially if they talk about this topic a lot in other areas of life 😊
@GodsGrace987

@@alicegracelife I agree with the consumption. I think most are becoming more aware of it and even Josie herself in her videos seems to be aware. So it’s just a journey. And it’s hard when your job is to recommend products. So finding that balance in life will be needed. And figuring out a way to create a balance with her moral and ethics. It’s okay to buy new things. But everything should be done in moderation. As someone who use to live heavily in debt to support her shopping addiction I can tell you it’s a hard habit to break. And you definitely have moments where you fall off the wagon or like she says just get carried away. So as always…we have to have grace for each other as we are ALL learning as we go. ☺️❤️

Before deciding on what to keep you should really look through your current wardrobe and see whether you have something almost identical and really need it. You said yourself you forgot when ordering the pink jumper that you had one almost identical so you don’t need another £700 duplicate and you must surely have so many knits already. I also think Charlie is a bit out of touch if he’s implying people could cut back on eating out as much, drinking etc in order to spend money on healthier but ultimately more expensive products. in the current climate people are already watching every penny and aren’t fortunate enough to afford weekly massages, farm shops, pricey all plants deliveries etc.

For the first time I have given a thumbs down . Josie needs to read the room. I have grown tired of the constant selling of all the “my favourite “ products to make money to buy all the designer clothes. Even on her honeymoon she was advertising stuff to no doubt pay for the luxury holiday. I have just watched a blog about a pensioner in the UK living frugally, buying yellow sticker reduced food (no doubt Charlie and Josie would disapprove of the processed food but it is what she can afford and she buys whatever food is reduced) and putting her heating on for 20 minutes to take the chill off to try and eke out her pension. I then watch Josie and this video of excess and it just didn’t sit well with me. Josie has lost her way and I’m sad about that as she has become so materialistic. More boots, ridiculously expensive gloves and more stuff for Pilates classes. She should look at her fellow influencers who turn down most of the promotion offers and don’t try to sell us something in every video. Sorry, I have turned off part way through. Disappointing as I love the dog and garden content.

Its a huge jump to get from where the average person starts their journey to where Charlie is and most people can't get there overnight. For example, cutting out ultra processed foods alone is still better than nothing, and if thats the best people can do they shouldnt be made to feel bad because their dairy isnt organic. Its good to educate people but I personally don't feel encouraged by the "you should" talks.

Sorry my love but this vlog wasn’t my favourite with the clothes haul and the gloves are awful. I’ve seen better ones in primark! Your money you buy what you like but where’s the everyday clothes that everyday ppl buy. Another coat, another same style bag, another same style boots and expensive tops for bloody Pilates. If you keep having to justify your spends and find excuses then you know you shouldn’t be buying it. Some things you don’t even remember ordering. You need to do an itinerary of your clothes in your wardrobes to remind yourself what you have. You have a bit of a shopping problem 😮bet you couldn’t go a whole month without buying any clothes! 😊

All the sweaters looks great but the pricepoint is just ridiculous. No knitwear is worth that kind of money. Of course you are aloud to buy and wear whatever you want to, but I do agree with a couple of comments on this one that your style is sooo expensive. The clothes are beautiful and you look great in them, but it's hard to relate to so expensive brands as this one was. Most of us have to work a whole year to get to buy maybe two of these iteams 😅 It's just not easy to relare to someone buying (or getting) a lot jumpers that expensive to wear to and from pilates. I do think it could be good to tone it down a little bit if you want to connect with your audience a bit more :)

Why? Why should she change who she is to be relatable? This is her life and she is blessed to be able to afford these things, she worked hard for that ability. I would NEVER be able to afford those things but I enjoy Josie and her content and to be able to see how the “other half” lives.

This was a weird vlog… the shopping spree was lovely but so unaffordable for us all, while for you it felt like it was just like a simple grocery order. I do agree with Charlie that the idea of gut shot is purely for marketing and not consistent with the brand of Zoe/Tim Spector. However, Josie shopping habits are also not sustainable as much as she preaches sustainability on everything else in life so it feels a bit unauthentic… I appreciate Lydia’s vlog more, she has bought a few Hermes bags but sold all of her other bags and is making consistently fewer higher quality purchases: ‘fewer better’. Josie bought 3 Dior bags last year which are highly unpractical and she never wear and don’t cost much less than a Hermes bag… I’m confused about Josie’s messages. On one side she is lovely and so suistainable/down to earth but on the other she is very inconsistent with her shopping and working out behavior and detached from reality because most of us could only afford one of the items from her Net a Porter order 🤷‍♀️ I also wish I could afford the time and money to go to Pilates once a day and buy clothes just for that activity 😅
@Carebear7170
@Carebear7170 7 ай бұрын
How is she detached from reality? That is her reality. Just because it is not yours or a lot of other people’s reality doesn’t make it any less realistic for her. She can afford those things so why shouldn’t she buy them? She earned her money just like the rest of us.

If she had to pay six pounds for a cuppa coffee she’ll complain. Have eight hundred pound sweater all good. In other words if it has to come out of her own pocket she’s not buying it neither is Charlie. If it’s gifted and she or he gets paid for it they’ll take it no problem. He’s been trying to get the Aga refinished for nothing and cracks his voice every time he says he’d like to work with whomever on it. He calls people lazy. Most people don’t have their lifestyle paid for by sponsors. If you disagree with a content creator they won’t acknowledge it, they’ll sweep it under the rug as if it never happened their bad behaviors or make lame excuses in a video rather than be honest. A lot of psychological trickery goes on with content creators. I like Josie otherwise I wouldn’t follow her. Charlie can be likable when he’s not being overbearing and rude.

I have learned a lot from both Josie and Charlie about nutrition and health, however I do think Charlie is often quite rude in the way he talks to Josie, especially the way he wouldn't hand over the gut shot to her and then snatched it off her. I get he's passionate about things which is great but it shouldn't be to the detriment of how he talks to others.

Goodness me there are some unfairly harsh comments here about Charlie. Which of us does not have sharp edges or quirks to our personality? I think it’s obvious from previous vlogs that both Josie and Charlie know very well what makes him tick… what he is very passionate about and that his OCD drives some of that quirkiness for him. Charlie, I’m quite sure is his own harshest critic and it saddens me to see comments that fail to see the intent of his discussion and only see what’s on the surface. And by the way Josie is a grown arsed independent businesswoman (with her own peculiarities and quirks It should be said ) and can walk away from any situation that is not right for her… she tolerates the idiosyncrasies of a man that she loves. This is a good man. He makes mostly educated and well judged points about the matters that means something to him. Sometimes he gets it wrong and yes when he is in his stride, he does forget to pass over the talking stick to Josie 😂 but he’s not the typical kind of man who has an ego that can admit it. Josie and Charlie… take it from someone twice your age, my lovelies… you are doing fine ❤

From Alabama USA. Rule of Thumb for my nutrition--it is most preferred to stay only two processes away from the garden. For example: dig the potato, wash the potato, cook the potato; but make sure to load the potato with delightful seasonings such as chives, sour cream, crisped bacon or pulled pork or thin slices of roasted beef. Oh, I have lots of examples; remembering only two processes away straight from the ground, or hoof, or the vine. Coffee, tea, and water is the best times of my day. Enjoy your health; only you will care for each other.

Love, love, love all what you have got. You don't have to justify yourself. Its your job and to stay updated, a time to time investment is necessary. 😉 My opinion abot some items: I prefer the dark brown gloves and the Gucci boots, although they are different styles. About the knitware: my first choices are the seccond one, with the long zippper, the cabelknit sweater and the brown with white (oversized). The pants: first place for the "greyisch" ones and in second term the rose cord ones. Nontheless, I loved each and every one of the clothes you bought. 😍😘😘😘

Oh dear. Charlie’s bit could have been *much* more concise. Sadly he also came across as preachy and, for those of us who don’t live in the UK and don’t listen to whatever podcast he was on about, somewhat irrelevant. I cook from scratch every day and avoid UPFs like the plague but I agree with others that I’m here to see fashion and gardening with Josie, not a long lecture from Charlie.

Hi there, love your section on all things nutrition 🙂 As far as the single-use plastic drink goes, perhaps it's a small way to bring more awareness and is a stepping stone to better health. (small changes can make big improvements and it is easier to start simple so overwhelm does not set in) Smoothies are a great way to get nutrition into the body when whole fruit is used alongside veggies and nuts, especially on an empty stomach. Protein is vital to all human tissue and is key in helping one to look and feel younger. Mindfulness… Also, I live in the United States and I feel that there would be no struggle to find wholesome organic foods if you know where to look. Erewhon would be a first choice, as its focus is certified organic, mostly local foods, but if this is not an option for you for whatever reason there are many other high-end grocery stores, notably Whole Foods and to a lesser degree Trader Joe’s and Sprouts. Sprouts has a large variety of Kefir and its produce is seasonal, which is perfect for those of us who prefer to eat seasonally.

I'd love to see you do more styling with the items in your closet, in general and when you get new things. Show us why you bought the new item, how different it is from what you have, or maybe three or four different ways you plan to wear the new things (I feel like that would also be fun for you!) Something I've noticed of late, too, is that you make lovely and aspirational content, but it would be great to take other lifestyles into account a bit more. A huge margin of people still need to go to the supermarket on their way home from a work commute, might not have farm shops nearby, don't need to make sure their handbags can fit a vlogging camera inside them, don't have access to a garden or greenhouse, and don't have separate designer knitwear just for the gym/workouts. I don't think you mean to alienate anyone, but the vlogs have become increasingly aimed at a certain tax bracket rather than containing general useful home and fashion tips. You obviously still have great style, though.
