I remember tele lock and fc in the original d2 lod lobbys back around like 2005. Telelock was super easy to do with maphack at the time and FC required file changes? It was always charged strike javazons and foh pallys. I was like 10 y/o when I would find them in duel lobbys, i always wanted to try to figure out how they did it but i was waaay too young lmao. I do also remember the invisible missiles and them hitting where they werent on the screen but that could have been weird early / mid 2000's network spaghetti

Mate, I really wished you could explain *just a bit MORE about this* ... such as: 1) Do the *VISIBLE* missiles _ALSO deal damage_ in their proper direction? Or is it just the *INVISIBLE* / counter-direction missiles that do the damage ?? 2) *How can this be ехрlоitеd **_in PvM_** ??* For example, do monsters get aggro'd by the *INVISIBLE* force, and consider it as a threat ?? I discovered a glitch that I've never seen before last week, but I can't figure out how to do it again. With my blizzard sorc, I equipped a rare orb that gave thunder storm ability. When I used my blizzard, thunder storm would still work. So there was strikes of lightning mixed in with my blizzard and it looked badass. Can't figure out how to make it work again though :[

You casted t storm before you did the swap, t storm will still persist, just like energy shield swap outs. It's not a glitch

Someone said cooley entered a tournament with his bm poison hdin build. Between changing GM standards to accommodate silly bm builds and glitches like this, duels will hardly be worth bothering with if we continue this way.

​@@smokinjfranklin921 If you allow BM play, most people are never going to be able to exit town. They're going to kill you and camp your body, forcing you to leave and rejoin. Once your dead the first time, unless someone else kills them, there's no way you're getting your body back. Especially vs some builds like a WW sin or Trapsin with wake of fire, which will cover 90% of your screen as soon as you get close. Armageddon druids that will do the same. Auradins which will kill you instantly as soon as you step out, and it doesn't matter how good or fast you are because there is no way to avoid the damage (unless you're a zon, and you only have a small % chance). Farcast could target you screens away and kill you instantly because CS did absurd damage and had no attack rating so it always hit. There was nothing to dodge or no projecrilss to avoid, you just started taking damage. If you didn't have any gear on it would kill you instantly in one hit. D2 PvP was basically for friends fucking around between killing stuff. They clearly didn't think it through with 8 people in one game. If it were only BM games, PvP would be dead. GM players kept it alive, trying to find ways to counter BM players and builds. Hell, up until D2R, a Necromancer could literally shut down a game, making everyone disconnect, and there was no way to stop them since they could do it from any waypoint in the game.

Surprised ppl didnt know about this lol... An old Diablo friend always reversed engineered the hacks most of us used in the past. He tweeked the auto targeting in the same hack mod and we were able to Blizz ppl from 4 screens away, Java poke and or any skill that acted like a long range skill when pressed. Yes we cheated in Duels, who didn't! What we didn't do was Bot cause we didn't care bout that.

very cool technique, opens up a bunch of possibilities and will help with aggressive play. been enjoying it on sin and paladin, very practical to do imo. been using it a bit on barb but giving up gores for marrows is kinda iffy unless you know you can make use of this technique. btw for anyone who says this is cheese or needs to be patched, try using it and fighting against it first before freaking out..

@@zeopks3440 you make a valid point this is a concern, tbh there is a lot of abusive things that can be done with macro even without bugs. its true that swapcasting was heavily abusable in the past on lod, and there was way more you could do with it and wsg casting. however looking at this technique objectively on d2r, it just doesnt seem ban worthy.. its fairly skillful to make use of without macros, after dueling with it and against it, I think it adds a nice layer to gameplay, kinda fun. also helps offensive play which d2r desperately needs. if anything, its macros that should not be allowed. and ultrawide as well, which is more game breaking/unfair than this bug imho.

Kind of an old technique. You can "lock it" by moving your cursor off of the window. Telestomp is a necessity when playing a hammerdin. Ya'll are just lucky they removed FC zons.

Oh yeah this had been a thing in high end game duels for awhile back in the hey day. Just considered extreme BM so no one really abused it or we would simply swap to zorb builds to counter most classes.

Back in 1.13 I used to do something similar just from normal play. When I would be farming id frequently swap to cta for bo then quickly swap back and teleport. Doing this would cause bo to cast at the same time as the tele. Usually id stop and correct it but if I kept going it would keep casting bo everytime I teled ultimately ending up with my client disconnected

no, point click skills (missile-less skills) dont have a range limit. this is why hacks back in the day could packet cast stuff from screens away. if its an auto aiming skill, like bone prison and foh, the range is extended even further. itll take the cursor position and search in a wide area for a target and select one (the nearest to the cursor?) and cast at that position. so you use c/t to click further away, and then auto aim to both search farther away than what you can click and also aim automatically. all swapcasting methods do not actually use the first skill, some will appear to client side but under the hood youre not actually using bone prison. just abusing a desync to use the targetting mode and animation of one skill and the result of another
