Doesn't matter if it's too early, it gives you time to plan out the winter village and make it that much better but where you showed off the winter village, you could do a medieval winter village. It may not make a whole lot of sense but it'd be creative and something outside of the box. Now is the large mansion you built earlier this year in the LEGO city?

Dude, you need one of those small, slow turntables to slowly spin the Imperial shuttle. That would look amazing with the wings out and it spinning.

You can get the Trolly to go back and forth on a single track with no loop using a colour sensor attached to the powered up hub. Using "Pybricks" you can program a color actived motor direction change. The program will be uploaded into the powered up hub and will run automatically when the hub is switched on, so its set and forget.

Bit of an idea thatd take a lot of work but would give you shelf space. If you make a big race track you can put the cars there taking them off your shelves.

Oh that's neat! I actually did this too, putting 3 LACK tables together in a stack, but in my case I did it for a 3D printer enclosure. The uppermost one forms the enclosure with printed parts holding plexiglass windows and doors in place, and they're black tables. Though I didn't use tape there, I used printed parts and screws to hold everything together. I did the same with two other tables and a second printer. Perhaps printed parts and even more plexiglass can be used to make a dust-proof version of that LEGO display shelf...

i know there are ways to make it stop and then start going the other way through color sensing features in some of the motor units. it’s what i’ve been looking into for a subway under my city since i don’t have enough room for turns.

you should make a huge cave labyrinth in the mountains with miners/ explorers/ mountain climbers running away from yetis, and the top of the mountain should be removable to show the cave system. and add rivers with lots of skaters and LOTS of cute bridges. add more snow men. and add the A shape cabin on the side of the mountain. and if you can, try to add a magical or normal forest.

Epic changes, will be great to see it all done! When it comes to moving your shelves, and cupboards too, I'd recommend using Felt Furniture Pads. They're usually self-adhesive and not only do they protect your floor but they also make it very easy to move furniture across a hard floor.

Ski slope/ lodge should be in the long end of the table. IMHO. Then you should modularize/double up existing village. Santas workshop should be near your stairs.

With the color sensor you can make the trolly just go back and forth, stopping and reversing when it hits the color brick under the tracks.

I am almost ready to start putting out my Winter village. The day after Halloween is my start date. However, I am going to start the Two Pines Inn this week and installing a light kit in last years shops. Have you looked into acquiring a light kit sponsorship? I think twinkling lights would be amazing in your village.

Bricksie, that road section, shift it to the new display section, that way you can make it longer. It also lets you expand into a hull & lake setup on the bigger (old) display section. So yeah, time for you to start hunting for parts, en-mass.

English is not my native language but I'll try my best. The open square in the city... You can put a table there with those measurements and have it a system like a pc chair. So you can jack it up when you needed and lower it so you can push it away when you need to be there in that square for reaching out to the city. I hope you understand what I mean

You should consider getting an idisplayit stand for your star destroyer. It makes a huge difference in how solid the model is and makes it 100x easier to move.

Oh good, you bought the new Alpine Lodge. I was going to recommend it cause the new ice rink for the ice part is perfect for your ice rink idea you had a few days ago. Perhaps you can buy more of the ice rink parts for a bigger ice rink??

The existing winter village looks so good, it hurts to hear you say destroy it. But I know your new and improved version will be epic! I think the town/village part would make more sense on the wider section of the tables and the ski area can start on the skinner area with the North Pole at the very end. Might make it easier for the trolley on the wider area too

Y not make a form of frozen port at the end of the table closest to the city to give of the impression that the little island and the main display appears more connected

Instead of mountains at either end what about one mountain in the middle where the corner is. One side could be for skiing the other could be rocky. Then you could have shops on one side of the mountain and houses on the other. The train could go from one side to the other either in front of the mountain or you could make a tunnel. Then you could have two stops. Or you could even treat it as two villages.

This is where I came in last year, when you started your Winter village so I have been watching you build Lego every morning whilst having my breakfast in Australia everyday since. The sets have determined that there is two, actually three scenes, a village, a mountain/alpine part and the North Pole/ Santa's village so I am excited to watch you build it. Decorations are in the shops in Australia so it is the perfect time to begin.

I have absolutely no issue with pulling the winter village out from under the tables to the display. I'm not even a big fan of Halloween so we can skip over that and head straight to the holidays. Plus, it gives you more te to plan, build and execute your ideas. Can't wait to see what you have in store!

Instead of a mountain on each end, i propose one big mountain on the corner, with a train curve underneath it, then a tram station on each end of the table. Using a light sensor brick, you can program the tram to automatically travel between the tram stations.

I still need to build 3 years of winter village sets but before I do that I need to finish a nagging lego project and thatvis getting my train layout finished 100% all it needs is 1 more switch track pack. I also might move my winter village into a part of my city so that it frees up 1 display in my bedroom that currently has my only built winter village sets on it. I could do 3 sets but the spot is a catch haul.

PLEASE DON'T DESTROY YOUR OLD WINTER VILLAGE!!! it's my favorite part of you legoroom and last year it inspired me to make my own with hogsmead and the holiday main street, i was inspired to make my own winter so i asked holiday main street for christmas and used my only 48 by 48 baseplate to make the village on, i used all my white brick for snow and black for the road because i didn't have enough grey and even included a track for the tram and a small skiing hill (2 bricks high or so) but it inspired me to make my a winter village and my first proper moc that wasn't a blue or pink house with yellow roof. i absolutely love mine but yours is so great, can't you just expand it?
