@@xian2themax you have to make a smogon account in order to see the like and other react buttons! ideally, a bunch of people would make accounts and post that they support a Palafin re-test, but for it to have an impact, all those people have to like each others' posts. For example: if you made a post and 9 other people made posts and you all liked each others' posts, that's 100 likes to the total pot. Unfortunately, the thread is really messy because there are a ton of posts not relevant to testing Pokemon, but any tiny bit matters!

I hate how they consider certain things as "complex bans" I think banning certain moves and abilities makes sense, even if it is only a single mon with that ability. Ban everything from using Rage Fist and Electro Shot. What about that is so complex? Banning certain moves is not a slippery slope - we aren't stuck banning EVs on Excadrills since we banned Last Respects this gen.

I think that's a pretty bad way to do it. A lot of pokémon that are balanced in OU, or even are in lower tiers (skeledirge), are not allowed in Ubers UU. That shows that the Uber's metagame is different enough from OU, due to how many crazy powerful and sometimes very centralizing pokémon are present, that using Uber usage to determine anything other than what's allowed in Ubers UU would be pretty silly. Usage-based tearing is not contiguous between Uber's and regular metagames for a good reason, and I don't think suspect tests should be allowed or prevented based on anything other than if a pokémon is reasonably going to have a Chance at being a healthy part of the tier

Specs palafin might actl be decent. Using either like tera normal boomburst or tera water hydro with coverage in grass knot and ice beam would actl put it as a decent threat, and you can use jet punch as its last move as really strong priority. It honestly reminds me of Special Lando T, it has really stronf offense but gets stopped by grass types and really bulky physical walls. With ice beam it can 2HKO sinis and Ogerpon With boomburst 2HKO offensive pivot Ogerpon Wellspring With grass knot, 2HKO dondozo Just to name a few, but it cld actl be a decent set Scarf cld be decent too, since it learns Aura Sphere and Focus blast so it can threaten weakened Darkrai Another way i feel palafin can be used is a whirlpool trapping substitute set with substitute bulkup whirlpool and jet punch, you basically dont need any speed and you max out on bulk, but this would be so niche and luckbased that either you win automatically or you have a really useless mon against HO Also I didn't calc any tera involved so who knows, tera normal boomburst go brrr

It probably chunks dozo, but aside from the priority it isn’t as good as wellspring into those mons offensively since it doesn’t have anything to nuke them I do agree that the priority gives the set some value, but I would run boomburst over grass knot for stronger neutral damage on everything on a mixed set

Palafin arguably could've come back as early as DLC 1, its kinda hard countered by Oger-W. Wood Hammer/Horn Leech, can't outboost it since it gets SD, can heal off CC/Drain Punch with Synthesis, neutral/resists Ice Punch, immune to Pally's stabs. Can't really do anything to her.

The problem with Anilhape is it would abuse tera.Sure you could probably build a team that can handle it but then it would probably make you weak to a million other obnoxious mons. Plus, it doesn't add much good to the tier other than another set up sweeper. At least Palafin provides anti offense.

@@scooter9537 It was only a joke, but if you want more arguments, not only Palafin has the same attack as slaking, but he can 2HKO the entire metagame if he just click the right move, even Maximum defense dondozo if he's choice band + tera fighting. He can benefit from rain support to tear apart defensive cores like it was paper. 100 speed isn't even a problem for him, since he has acces to a 60 base power priority, while the majority of them are 40 base power. He can also boost himself and "heal" with bulk up + drain punch. You're basically forced to run two checks just for him, one water bulky water resistance, and a bulky fighting resistance in case he use tera fighting Close Combat. The pokemon would have been legit if jelicant was here, but it's not the case. But he technically have no ability, so maybe he deserve to be tested (Even if we all know he'll not last the month). But in my opinion, black glass Urshifu-dark seems pretty legit compared to him. One last precision : 'Stats are very important in pokemon, this is why Slaking has a restraining ability, 160 is so huge, that even with a mid movepool and no ability, Palafin would be able to tear apart almost everything. And remeber that Palafin wasn't suspect, he was quick ban. Smogon didn't even doubt of his power, they instantly knows that this pokemon is too strong for the OU, even more with tera.'

I don't think so. The thing about Dugtrio is that it often traps counters to broken mons which allows them to just win. Even tera is not a very good counter to it because if the trapped mons tera then they likely can't check the broken Mon as much and tera makes it so Dug can trap way more
