I loved Anais Anais back in the 80s, it was my first proper perfume and I used it all up! The main scent is lily, maybe that's why it makes you think of graveyards! However it's out of production and when I last smelt a bottle of it several years ago, it smelled different and very musty. How sad.

Here's some recommendations - Chloe Narcisse, Yves Saint Laurent Opium (both old world classics), Givenchy Organza, Bucheron Initial (no longer being made but can still be found), Bocheron Trouble (the last 3 are my favs) and a buying guide for those of us who like the good stuff but don't want to pay the big bucks - look for tester bottles! The boxes are plain but otherwise it's the same bottles & fragrances and you'll pay a fraction of the cost!

Ventriloquist dummies aren't a weird phobia. A fear of ventr. dummies, puppets, and dolls is actually fairly common. I'm not asking her to bend over backwards, just to be mindful of those that might be triggered by those things. I could understand if it was like a fear of blue umbrellas, which would have a very niche market of people that would be afraid of those things, but this is not one of them.

my fav fragrance is a perfume a friend of mine made (yes she makes perfumes) and she named it "vintage baby" because it's kind of like a heavy but light scent. it sticks on you for awhile so you don't have to keep reapplying it. i like it like that. it's in a bottle we "put together" ourselves. looks like an old designer perfume bottle with some old lace and ribbons around it and a tiny doll arm attatched to it

When you mentioned that Lola reminds u of Savanna that's the very reason why every time I'm going on vacation, even if it's just for a weekend, I always buy a new fragrance to wear there. I put it on the day I'm leaving & it's the only one I wear while I'm there. If I go back to that same destination again, I wear that same scent. This way after I come home, whenever I wear it I go immediately back to that place. My son is a grown man now & on his own but wen I saw him the other day I was wearing "Sun" by Jil Sanders as he hugged me he said, "Legoland & California"! He was right, that was what I wore wen we went there in 1999, the year it opened, he was 6! He tours around the world w/bands now so every time he goes out on tour I always get him a new fragrance to wear. It's a great way to trigger happy memories of good times & beautiful places. P. S. When my husband & I were getting married he surprised me (knowing my "scent connection" ritual) & got me a bottle of Anais Anais(it was very popular in the 80's)to wear for the wedding, which I did. I never wore it again cuz....that was the fragrance I ALWAYS HATED THE MOST. I never had the heart to tell him cuz b he loved it.😕

I really don't care what anybody says cuz I'm a girl but my favorite smell in the entire world is irish spring soap. I have 9 1/2 bars. I also wear pretty much any axe cologne. I do wear some perfumes. Shockingly the one I get complimented the most on is Kim Kardashian True Reflection. I can not tell you how many times I've worn it and all I get is "you smell great", "what perfume are you wearing?", "it smells amazing" and it's weird because most people say it smells horrible on them but apparently it smells like heaven on me

If you like old perfumes you should try Estee Lauders Youth Dew! It's powerful powdery heavy scent lasts an absolute age, to get rid of the smell you have to scrub your skin until you can virtually see your arteries!! Tom Ford did a collaboration with Estee Lauder, he did an up to date version of Youth Dew. It's not quite as heavy as the original, so your arteries will be safe!! lol Have you ever tried Thierry Mugler's Womanity? It's my absolute favourite, and the bottle is pretty cool!!

You gotta try Thierry Mugler fragrances! my top three from Mugler are: Alien: A sort of musky/grape smell, Angel: Musky floral with sweet notes(also has chocolate), and Womanity:Smokey floral notes with a hint of citrus( and has caviar in it too)!

Have you ever tried any of the Avon fragrances? I recommend trying the Rare Amethyst and Imari fragrances, for sure, and I HIGHLY recommend Haiku Kyoto Flower. That one is probably the best perfume I've ever smelled in my life, and I actually find it to be very therapeutic.
