We found one after a storm knocked down a tree in our yard! It just cocooned last week so fingers crossed we get to see it in moth form! I was never able to identify if it was female or male so it will be cool to see which it is 😅

Oh Butterfly World!!!!! ;-/ I would try shopping at a restaurant depot or supply store. They sell the cups and the containers that you are talking about.

I get my moms from the wild. This female that ladies eggs was given to me by a friend that found a wounded female in a gas station parking lot. She couldn’t fly so he brought it home and asked me if I wanted it. The female lead a bunch of eggs and a raised them through

That is correct. Once the virus begins, it’s very rare that a caterpillar survives unfortunately

You can find live female Polyphemus anywhere in the eastern United States where there are oak trees. Get them to lay eggs and start feeding!!!
