Awesome show!! I like all the episodes. Wondering why your sponsor is G Loomis and you use mostly ST. CROIX RODS? Being from WI, and being able to go to the factory and watch them make some of their fine rods is pretty cool. All I use, love them. I won't tell G Loomis. Keep it up.

You make it look so easy :) As a european pike angler i wonder, what is the difference between musky angling and pike angling aren't they in the same area and what's the difference in behaviour and fishing for them?
@jakeslakes63536 жыл бұрын
Musky are much more elusive and particular. Depending on the time of year they usually like very fast approaches or slow and steady retrieves. They also follow a lure into the boat much more frequently than pike. The fight is much more of a brawl than the pike which in my experience dives down and takes more of a speed approach.
@pinkadam89896 жыл бұрын
Pike are opportunistic predators whereas muskie are hunters
@archerynut5 жыл бұрын
They call musky "the fish of 10,000 casts" for a very good reason.
@nergal13146 жыл бұрын
Hi, Aaron. What rod power did you use to throw those spoons and spinners? I would guess a medium/light? I have a 7 ft medium fast action but it doesnt throw 1/4, lures nearly far enough.

13:45 what pike are those is it just a mutation? Why do so little look like that?
@Scoobarruu8 жыл бұрын
It's called a Tiger Muskie. It's a cross between a Northern Pike and Muskie. They are infertile though and cannot reproduce.
@TheDreamCatchers8 жыл бұрын
no its not look up a pic of a tiger musky. Its just a pike with a weird coloration
@chuckd58778 жыл бұрын
David clearly didn't listen to the video. It's clearly a pike. Different individuals of the same species can have variations in color and appearance just like humans. It's just due to genetic diversity
@TheDreamCatchers8 жыл бұрын
i caught one that had the markings of a chain pickerel but was 100% a pike
@Scoobarruu8 жыл бұрын
Yes. My mistake. It is a pike that is tiger muskie coloration.

Geeze man I cringed with you hand landing those pike with all those hooks dangling. I used to pull that move untill I get pinned to a 20 pound king salmon and a J-13 rapala as it thrashed around. When all was said and done I had to go to the hospital cuz the hooks were lodged under tendens and buried into the bone!!! Moral of the story, be careful! BTW cool show!

@sapperROSS9 жыл бұрын
Ray Nieto buy quality products and you can beat the hell out of them and they will last. my fly rods/reels have seen hell and still work great
@MMK869 жыл бұрын
Ray Nieto only thing you might need to worry about is maybe the drag, the discs getting wet and getting less efficient. You ever service your own gear lol? take it apart, clean and re-grease if you need to should be fine, plus most of the internals are coated in grease/oil and that stuff repels the water anyways.
@raynieto64639 жыл бұрын
We're is that at or is a no tell fishin hole haha
@nickstojanovic88682 жыл бұрын
@@raynieto6463 Its a no tell hole. He said a tributary of hudson bay in northern manitoba. Well that could be anyone of a thousand rivers up there. To experience that kind of large brook trout action up there requires a pretty good amount of cash to stay at remote lodge and then hire a guide to take you to these places.

TYSON NEWTON yeah he obviously doesn't know anything. I wont go back to a spinning rod! its too easy
