Wow just seeing this out of the box kzbin.infoUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

AWESOME!! I've never caught a Laker in Northern, Maine on a fly!! I'm going to give it a try this year! Great Video! I think the major Muskie lake in Maine is Baker, Lake in Northern, Maine...

Bunny fur is hands down the best streamer material, something about it just gets all fish going. Catch everything from tiny trout, to smallies, to pike, to 30+ pound kings in the fall....

I already know what happens anyways since I've watched it so many times. :)

*Used this rod recently on a river hike in NH. It performed beautifully **enjoyable.fishing** recommend as I had hoped it would, on a whole heap of river smallies using tiny torpedoes and tubes.*

I've been a fan of the show for a while now and have just became interested in fly fishing and more recently tying. I was just wondering what size hook you used for the fly you tied in this episode. And also maybe other easy flies to tie for lakers/ pike? I'm not exactly sure if you will get this comment so i will try and message your facebook too.

Nice musky what pound of test was that line you were using? And with that rod can you cast with it?
@uncutangling9 жыл бұрын
JT Outdoors - 80 pound Power Pro is the best universal Musky line, and with a 9' Shimano Heavy Musky Rod....believe me on the loooong rod. It is way more effective and enjoyable to fish with.

You guy's should do a tutorial of how to get the best out of your baitcaster, because I just bought one and I'm not really adjusted to it yet and don't really know how to use it that well, all I can use it for is trolling.

Is it 80 pound line as the leader? Is it a tapered leader or just 10 pound monofilament ?
@uncutangling8 жыл бұрын
+Grant DuBridge - The musky would be 80# Power Pro with a 150-200# fluorocarbon leader. The fly fishing would be a 15-25# fluorocarbon leader, you could use tapered leaders too, it doesn't matter with the big clumsy flies.

what weight fly rod you throwing here aaron?
@uncutangling8 жыл бұрын
+Radz Outdoors - 10 weight probably. The weight of a fly rod is more based on the size of fly you will be throwing (than size of fish). I throw a lot of bulky, heavy flies for Pike and Lake Trout so I favour the upper end of the generally accepted spectrum for these species.

Love the lakers on the fly, can't stand the fish eye camera though.(makes a 2 pound fish look 20). Good video! Also, you can't educate or TRAIN fish. They do not have the capacity to learn.
