It looks amazing, everything from side stories, characters, spells and creatures. I am now more sure than ever that this game will be EPIC ❤ THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!!

I’m already planning playthroughs. A good Slytherin, and a dark Gryffindor, because both need more representation! One thing I love is it seems like there will be less “everyone in Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff is good” and “everyone in Slytherin is evil” (probably because the dev team is full of people who tested in various houses!) so I’m super excited!

My first one will probably be a self insert cause I have to satisfy my 11 year old self's wish 😂 Yes definitely, I always disliked that way of thinking and I actually think if there's a choice for companion I might choose the Slytherin boy my first playthrough. I'm intrigued by the family curse mentioned! An evil Hufflepuff would also be interesting those must be rare haha because for Gryffindor there was Pettigrew actuallyy. I am already planning all of my future playthroughs: 1st playthrough: as a cute and shy muggleborn Hufflepuff fighting for the 'light'... and probably stumbling around worse than Tonks. 2nd playthrough: A devious, cunning and ambitious pureblood Slytherin, who ultimately becomes a dark lord. 3rd Playthrough: The genius second reincarnation of Merlin who makes everybody either run away in fear or stare in awe at my magnificence. And... once I have seen it all....a 4th Playthrough: as an all powerful godlike Q who just messes around with everybody. At least that's the plan.

@@miguelamador4017 I guess I could try a shy but cunning Slytherin muggleborn, who is courageous enough to fight for the light...should indeed be possible seeing as Tom has not corrupted the house yet... The fact remains however that it's usually those with great ambition with a good mind for strategy and the cunning to support it, who become the dark lords. Not the hardworking and friendly puffs. That said, not to say a Hufflepuff couldn't become a dark lord, I guess they could manage it through hard work and loyalty, instead of fear and power....but it's far less likely to happen.

Apart from the amazing world building, I think a lot of people fall in love with this franchise because of the loveable characters. I'm glad the game is trying to nail down that aspect of Harry Potter as well.

Im between the Hufflepuff girl and the slytherin boy! Same reason, i LOVE animals and magical creatures in general! 🥰 The slytherin boy intrigued me because in the trailer it seems his family is suffering from some sort of curse which sounds interesting!

The lightning spell looks awesome, the combat seems based on timings. Witcher and elden ring prepares for that kind of gameplay.

Haven't played elden ring yet but i do see some similarities with witcher like looting and levelling up certain skills! ☺️ Also i like that in combat it looks like it will rely on us using the correct spell like protego for example! Did you like the gameplay shown? 😄

Reminded me a lot of Ghost of Tsushima combat. From the way the enemies attacked to how the targeting seemed to be switching to the pacing of the combos being important. Which is good, I really enjoyed the katana combat in GoT. I wouldn't mind one on one duels like the duels in GoT, either.

I think there will be more companions than the 3 mentioned at the very least I would guess Ravenclaw to have a companion for the MC. And also the possibility for companions for a dark playthrough. Your very own Crabb and Goyle or Bellatrix LeStrange

The more companions we can choose the better in my opinion since I like our character bonding with different people and getting to know their backstories! 🥰 Yes I remember them mentioning something that we get the opportunity to go to other common rooms to visit our companions so it must be likely there's a Ravenclaw companion too. And since we might want to turn evil the companions they showed look too pure to get along with that 😂

Some of us have been waiting decades for this.... A friend of mine who was an absolute Potterhead told me 2 years ago that something like this would have been a miracle come true. Now that cancer took him away, I'm miffed he won't get to see his dream come to fruition. On a lighter note, my Uni has a library building with a wing we called the “Harry Potter Hall” because of its architecture and imposing stature. In fact, we hold monthly Harry Potter Trivia tournaments there :)

I love it that they seem to have taken everything created by JK Rowling and ran with it, took some inspiration from the movies as well and created something that looks unique! There is a real magical feel to it! I would have been disapointed if everything looked like what was presented in the movies. I always felt like Rowling's writing was always more rich and fun than what we saw. My only area of concern is that they seem to follow the Fantastic Beast look for wizards dress and that's a pity. I prefered the colorfull clothes that wizards and witches wore in the first Harry Potter movie. Now the characters just look like regular Victorian muggles.

This is what excites me most about the game! It looks like the people who made it had creative liberty and were allowed to run wild with their imaginations and the end results looks very promising! 🥰 I did notice what you've mentioned about the clothes 🤔in the books, especially Dumbledore, is always described as wearing bright coloured robes and I always imagined him looking so unique 😂 oh well customisation looks detailed so I'm sure we'll find some clothes we likee ahha

What I think I love most about this game is how many people are going to be getting introduced to gaming through this game. I've been gaming about has long as I've been a Harry Potter fan, so about twenty years. The same length of time I've been dreaming about a game like this :). In that time I've seen games bring new people into gaming but nothing like this game, not even close. It's wonderful to see what one game can do to so many people.

As someone who only got into gaming about two years ago (I mean I used to play playstation and wii when I was younger but wasn't as invested in games as I am now) this couldn't be more true! 😄The harry potter fandom is HUGE and most people got into it just because they read the books or read the movies so they're still not familiar with games! I do love when games bring more and more people in the gaming community. I saw a boom of that happening last summer when among us and fall guys which are pretty easy and fun games for non-gamers to get into got SUPER popular and some of my friends decided to try gaming 🥰😍

Not that I’m against people who haven’t read the books, but you’re the first person I’ve watched react to this who actually read the books and recognized things from the books :) that happened in some of the old HP games too, they would incorporate storylines or stuff from The books that never appeared in the movies. Like in The Chamber of secrets game there was a missions where you went to Nick’s death day party which wasn’t in the movie.

@@LyraLes Yes - I agree! I find the Potterverse is a well-conceived mix of the real world and the magical world in many ways. I'm personally more the 'dig-into-the-lore' type. The more information or stories are told the better. The game seems to offer insights in stories that were just slightly covered in the books or movies. That could be awesome! I really understand your excitement and, if possible, some Let's Plays would be awesome, just to see your reaction on cool Potter stuff! 😂

Or the Star Wars Expanded Universe with hundreds of books before Disney took over and neglected the all old books. @@LyraLes Yeah that moment was so good! It felt great to read about Umbridge getting it real tough herself instead of just making the life miserable for everybody else! I wonder what it could be that the MC survived... Hopefully it isn't the killing curse since that undermines a lot of the canon and the significance of Harry Potter & the prophecy. I understand that they might stray away from canon at some points to make it more exciting or realize their creative vision (like pulling people around with Accio). But in this case it would feel so much better if it was anything but the killing curse that the MC survived. What are your thoughts?

@@Mr.Yoda66 I totally agree, I told myself I wouldn't be too nitpicky about details. Us diehard harry potter fans know so many tiny details and expect everyone to know them 😂 But for the killing curse I would be a little disappointed since it's a HUGE PLOTLINE of harry potter that he's the ONLY one who survived the killing curse. But from aaall we've seen until know it seems they've done a lot of homework. They might slip up now and then but I don't think they'll do such a big mistake. The goblin rebellions were mentioned in the books when Professor Binns was teaching History of Magic so including them as majoor rivals was a really nice touch for me ☺

Ooooo really? I actually didn't know that! Neville's grandparents even thought he was a late bloomer and I think he showed first signs of magic at 8? So 15 sounds unusual. There was a blog post by the developer that hinted that we survived... something and were then admitted to Hogwarts in fifth year

He showed signs at 8 when his uncle threw him off a window and he bounced also they legit thought he was a squib and were quite cruel to him for it

Cause y’know, I play TOO much Dragon’s Dogma as a Sorcerer and knowing how well done it’s magic system was as well, if you can cast a literal hurricane, a meteor shower, and an earthquake in Hogswart Legacy, then we’re fricking set, baby! Since that spell, while although effective on bosses as well, is practically useless because of how slow casting it is for me and my companions as opposed to how Avada Kedavra work. I know of one dark wizard friend of mine who knows how to do that, and she’s quite the gloomy figure!

@@aquilliusranger2137 To be fair Avada Kedavra is kind of OP 😂 there's no shield against it, if you hit it the person dies the ONLY thing you can do is try and dodge and hope it doesn't hit you so it's definitely a really powerful spell if you want to go evil! ☺

We don't know much about their magic but we do know that wizards treated them inferior so there's bound to be some resentment. I actually think if house elves were free and more confident creatures they'd be the most powerful of both wizards and goblins!

The fact that we have seasons means that we will not be 5th years for the whole game. This makes me wonder whether we will sit our owls and newts, finish our education in Hogwarts during the game and actually become fully trained 'of-age' wizards and witches. Who knows...maybe even become aurors, curse breakers or maybe even...a Hogwarts professor or a dragon handler. Oh...and if that's the case then I hope there will be romance as well. The Elder scrolls allowed you to have children... so hopefully we could have the same here as well. Imagine visiting your own child at Hogwarts later on. I know this is probably just wishful thinking...but maybe something for a DLC?

The fact that we were given in game content...content which already looks great and can only get better, gives me all the trust and hope that I need to give them this one chance to pre-order. That said...I'm going to put a lot of trust in them that they will deliver what they promise and not mess this up like certain other games. If they mess up that trust will be gone and hard to get back. Sure, all of those other games turned out fine in the end...but I will be really upset if legacy is filled with bugs and glitches at launch.

Just I don't have anyone to get excited about it with because none of my friends care about HP. I have read nearly all of Brandon's work and its all pretty damn good to read. I am totally bias because I started with Way of Kings and it has some of my all time fav characters in it but actually Mistborn might be a better starting series for you as it has a female protagonist. I was hugely disappointed with some of the worldbuilding aspects. Particularily the fashion. They kinda just look like regular old Victorian muggles. The Wizarding World had long been seperated from the Muggles by the time the game takes place, they would be wearing more colorful, less austere and strict clothing. Sure maybe not everyone would be like Dumbledore, but... Not to mention the uniforms... I understand most people know of the franchise through the movie but surely they would would referenced the book. Oh well.

I used to love the outfits Dumbledore was described to dress in. It suited his whimsical nature🤩😂 Someone else did mention the fashion choices in the comments too, and that they look quite similar to the Fantastic Beasts fashion choices which I can see now but I must admit I hadn't noticed! I did like how the teachers were dressed but yes it seems other wizards have been dressed in a common muggle fashion in the 1800s. Hopefully the choices for our clothing will be different though and we can dress our character in some fun choices! 😆😉

I like that the game does a lot to detach itself from what we've read in the books and seen in the movies (and a certain somebody's toxicity). The castle looks gorgeous, the new teachers seem intriguing (actually, since it's the late 1800s, I feel like we might meet Dumbledore as a student), the visuals and activities are definitely unique. Unlike stuff like "Hogwarts Mystery", the main character doesn't seem to be The Most Unique Chosen One who has all the powers and titles; yes, there is something new about them, but that's pretty much every game protagonist ever. That being said, I am slightly concerned about the plot shown; we seemingly have a group of goblins who want to cause chaos and gain importance... putting that together with the fact what the goblins were representing in the books... I feel like we're stepping on thin ice here. I'll be content if it's a red herring but will look out for that.

It seems a lot of people are worried about the goblins being antagonists including me! As a member of Hermione's SPEW club I understand why goblins would want a rebellion against wizards. It might be a red herring since in the new trailer we didn't even see the antagonist with the mask that was in the previous trailer! But I agree about everything you said about how the game looks, until now it looks amazing and very promising and hopefully we'll get what we always dreamed for a harry potter game! 🥰🥰

They do hint at a morality system and the ability to be a dark wizard, and you see the player use the killing curse on what looks like a goblin in the trailer. That would put a lot of dept to the choices you make and how big of an impact you have on the world

But I do think it gives more depth to the game rather than just being like oh be good and don't kill people or become evil and be able to kill, crucio and imperio anyone you want. I'd like it to be more morally grey than that 😄

@@LyraLes ‘The Archon’ quest line of AC Odyssey is a comparison that comes to mind on how this could work: he is one of the cultists that is blackmailed into serving the bad guys that are holding his family prisoner. You can just outright kill him like you do with all other cultists, but if you take a more merciful approach with other cultists you get the option to convince him to switch sides. Optionally you can even save his family from the cult. This game could have a similar approach to dealing with the rebellion, where you get to choose to stop them with diplomacy or by killing the goblins. A thing that would tie very nicely into this is the part of the trailer where they say that you learn some abilities from other students, this could be especially the case for the dark magic that isn’t taught at Hogwarts. So the unlocking of the killing curse could be behind other quests that allow you to choose between good and bad, and means that a good wizard doesn’t even have the killing curse to begin with. And that could even be behind befriending dark wizards that would give you those quests.

In the blog post it actually says we have the ability to go on quests not only with the Professor Fig and the three companions shown but also with other professors and other NPCs along the game so I think it's VERY likely one of those will be a darker wizard who will teach us dark magic and spells like the killing curse since in no way are we learning that from our teacher or companions 😂 I do hope there is a choice between killing the goblins and perhaps siding with them and finding a more diplomatic approach to solving the rebellion and war that will happen!
